I have alopecia, and there was so little left that I just decided to do a buzz cut . It isn't fun to have this. I just decided to wear it with bravado and be myself. I have scarring alopecia so it wont ever grow back. But when I went to the Supercuts in West Hartford, the woman there was patient and kind-- she tried her best to think of a cut that might work but it was impossible. I have so little stranded hair that I felt like I was the butler out of the Rocky horror picture show ,and I said you know what-- take it all off so she gave me a buzz cut
-- the thing is, it was liberating, and the stylist had been very kind and patient with me. Patient and kind goes a ling way with me, from my POV SUPERCUTS WEST HARTFORD-- it's a great place.
I wish I could give it zero stars. This might be my first yelp review because I'm not that type of person. But I left CRYING!!!! My hair is never tangly and after the guy (short died blonde hair, skinny) washed my hair he was attacking my hair with a comb and starting from the roots and as I watched him rip my hair out I asked if he could switch to a wide tooth comb.. he started attacking and pulling out ALL MY HAIR with that, I said I can't do this I have to leave (while tears run down my face) he said you have to pay for the wash.. okay so as I had my card he said would you like to leave a tip on the card. Can you believe the audacity !!!!??? I have NEVER been so unhappy with my hair apt. I wish I read reviews before I went in :(
The staff did not great me and skipped basic courtesy to ask if I have an appointment, which I did. They spent under 5 minutes on my hair cut. Granted it was only a trim, but it felt rushed and poor quality. Thank you Super Cuts for a wonderful lesson on getting what I paid for! Will not return.
i went to this "salon" earlier today for a haircut, duh. anyways this lady goes "what do you want" i say "a trim." she goes "ok so a scissor cut?" i'm like um what? and she does it. she cuts off more than half of EVERTHING and leaves one of the sides completely uneven. my self esteem is completely wrecked and i'm avoiding this place at all costs. if you want to look like eleven from stranger things, this place is perfect! edit: the entire thing took less than 5 mins. five minutes for my self worth/esteem/confidence to deep down the drain for at least another month.
Attempted to get my hair trimmed here and was appalled at the customer service from Katie. I called at 11am to make an appointment on 11/29/21 (adding date so management can ensure the proper stylist is reprimanded) and was told to come in at 1pm. Okay fine. So I arrive at 1pm and am then told the credit card machine is broken and it's cash only. Of course I don't have cash on me so I go home to get cash and come back at 1:04pm (FOUR MINUTES LATE) and am told by Katie that I need to come back again because I missed my appointment. Are you kidding me? You neglected to inform me to come prepared with cash so I had to leave in order to pay you and then you tell me you can't fit me in? Truly appalled. Will never go here again. Train your employees to teach them how to properly schedule and deal with customers.
