Anna's Beautiful Nails & Spa in West Hartford, CT

I have been going to Anna's for years and fear that I must give up.  Usually I bring my own polish because I am aware of their practice of overly diluting the polish.  Today, however, I wanted to try a new color on my toes and was not going anywhere.  Four hours after I left the salon, I slipped my feet into fabric slippers and the polish was still so wet that the polish on my big toe completely wrinkled and peeled.   So very upsetting as I have an event tomorrow and was hoping to wear open toed shoes.  I might also add that the regular polish selection is greatly diminished.  Time to find another place for manicures.

I guess I was on a good run for pedicures and now it's over! Feeling rushed and a poor paint and nail work. I end up coming home and fixing them or go back and repaint.
The last 2 were especially bad. Sorry to say not going back!

There are only a couple of techs that do a good job. I went in to get gel off my nails a week ago and the tech was very rough on my nails and laughed when I pulled away out of pain instinct. She didn't shape them at all and when I asked her to cut them down she just filed them down harshly and didn't even make them all look even or the same. I was very disappointed and sad about the treatment I got. I have worked in the service industry so I never complain or argue and very understanding. I'm writing this review because of how much she made it hurt, laughing at me, and the way my nails looked when she was done. She was also pushing specials on me which I didn't accept because if she does the removal not great I knew she wouldn't paint them well. Don't think I'll be coming back.

I'm giving this 1 star because it won't let me not put any at all. I go to this salon a lot, and I'm generally not pleased but not mad either when leaving. However today, I was angry. She rushed through my pedicure, and when she was done there was still a lot of dry skin in my feet especially my big toes. My feet were dry, and flakey.
When it was time to pay, I brought it to her attention that it didn't even look like I had gotten a pedicure, she looked at my feet and giggled. The only discount I got is the $6.00 that I had accrued through previous visits.
Needless to say, I did not leave a tip, I didn't even think the service I received was worth the $37 that it costs.

I always come here ever since I moved to west Hartford. They are so expensive and have 0 technique. I want to know why they are charging so much money for 0 technique. The regular polish work is okay. Today I went for a French manicure. This was the worst experience ever. $43 for the worst. It looks like something I did as a kid with whiteout. I didn't like the First Lady who did it and then they gave me a second person to do it. She literally used the white regular polish and brushed it on thick then cleaned up with nail polish remover. How does that make sense? Use a smaller brush to paint the tips. If you want to get ripped off and not be satisfied then you should go here. Why do you have a salon when you have 0 technique.
