I love gbs! i have been going here ever since I was in 5th or 6th grade (now going into college) and I can never say that I have had a bad experience! the staff are all wonderful, and there is generally a short wait- the longest I've ever waited here was 10 minutes! It is a small, quiet shop that is very relaxing. They offer so many services and also have beautiful high quality jewelry at sensible prices- my piercings have always been sensitive and I've never had a bad reaction to any of the jewelry sold here. I highly recommend getting eyebrow threading here!
I've been coming here for years. I walked into today to get my normal clean up. The owner directed me to get my eyebrows done by this worker I've never seen before, she looked new. I didn't say anything because I'd assume she was just as skilled as the owner, whom I normally go to. I can tel through your the service she was really new as it took her while to even get the thread started then she took breaks in between to fix the thread. She took an abnormal amount of time to my brows. Once finished, I looked in the mirror and was so disappointed. I had asked for my brows to be kept thick and just get a clean up but received thinned out and uneven brows. the owner couldn't do anything about it at that point and just apologized. She even said one side was higher than the other, admitting that they were not even. I paid for my service but I shouldn't have had to do that. The worker did the opposite of what I asked for. The owner was also on her phone watching videos. She knows I typically see her so instead of her getting up and doing my brows she had someone else do it while she scrolled on her phone.
Terrible experience. 0/10 recommend. Please be advised by my experience and try avoid the experience I had.

I have utilized the services for several years in the West Hartford Farmington Avenue location. They have sacrificed during this pandemic to insure we are able to look our best and it is appreciated. They have been extra careful adhering to CDC guidelines. They are always accommodating, and kind. If anyone has an issue with there service, please work it out and not use this platform to tarnish there business.
