I went to this place because I had to be in and out early before skipping town for a wedding. I chose this place as it was open the earliest in town. The guy had done my nails before and I knew I would have a good mani/pedi from him so I was not concerned about that. However, my concern comes in with the cleanliness of the place. In the past, they had taken tools of the sterile wrapping which made me not question going back this time. But this time, they did not. There was a ton of nail dust everywhere on the table and it just did not seem like the tools were clean as he just picked them up and put them back in the drawer when he was done with them. The lady next to me was getting her nails redone and they just clipped the old nails off and left them on the floor. No thank you. A guy walked in asking if they had any job openings and quite frankly they may not have nail tech openings, but they could have paid him to do a good cleaning of the place. I will likely not be back unless I'm desperate.
If I could give no stars, I would. Theresa not only had the worst attitude, when I asked for almond shaped nails she gave me stiletto shape. To top it off, my nail broke after only one week. Definitely don't recommend this place.
I have been going to nail salons for a few years. Star Nails was by far the dirtiest, and most rushed salon I have been to. My nails were bubbly, chipped in 2 days, and I noticed they did not clean their equipment, which was outdated and in bad shape. I have never returned.
I just received the worse set of gel nails ever. Was my second visit. Will never go back. They didn't compare to any I've ever had done.
I've been waiting for 40 minutes. They will bring you in and have someone take your nail polish off. Then they will move you to a different seat to have someone do the same thing ... then! Finally the person who was going to do my nails sat down. She was consistently answering the phone until another woman came in that needed a repair - she STOPPED my nails and went straight to her. I was so mad at the poor customer service that I left but not before they charged me $20. Basically paid that to have my nails filed. I get that sometimes you have to wait to get your nails done but it's completely ridiculous to stop someone's nails to help someone who just walked through the door. Wasted an hour of my lunch and my nails look worse then they did when I came in!! I won't be back.
