Shine Twentynine in Indianapolis, IN

I found shine twentynine because of Instagram and I couldn't be happier. I had an appoint with Maggie and was very anxious upon arrival because all I saw her do via Instagram.

I'm a blonde so I knew going in it would probably be a long, pricey appointment but I was ready for that. Maggie charges $75/hr. But her attentiveness and desire to make your pleased and comfortable was top notch.

The studio itself is just off of College Ave. with parking to the side. I was offered a beverage as I sat down and Maggie got to work. She asked me all the right questions and made me eager to see the end results the whole time.

We did the foils, I sat under the dryer, and then she washed and applied the toner. Whilst washing my hair, which admittedly is my favorite part of a hair appointment, I almost fell asleep. She also gave a very nice head and neck massage which was a welcomed surprise.

When Maggie finally did the big reveal I was stunned. She nailed the color I was looking for and the cut was very complimentary to my face - it made my hair instantly look and feel healthier.

I look forward to more appointments and more perfection from Maggie in the future!

Carly has been doing my hair for over 10 years and I absolutely always love it!  It's so wonderful to have a stylist that knows what works best for you so you don't even need to think about what you want for each visit.  She keeps my hair healthy and up-to-date on trends.  The salon is super cute, warm and cozy! Not to mention, she's really fun to be around!  I highly recommend this salon and especially the wonderful owner, Carly.

Carly does great work! She did all the hair for my wedding and I couldn't have been happier with the styling and her professionalism. She did my latest color and I am constantly getting compliments! I highly recommend!

I had my hair done at this place by Lyanna and it was not a good experience. I showed her a picture of a balayage and asked if she could lighten up my hair like the pic without bleach she said yes she could get it pretty light. After two hours my hair looked nothing like the pic, she colored all the hair minus the roots and did what a would call a skunk streak on my bangs. Then she proceeded to try to charge me $175 for hair cut and color, oh mind you it was a trim not a hair cut.

I've been going to Carly since I moved to Indianapolis. I followed her over when she opened Shine Twentynine. I've done cut and color with her and I'm always really happy with my hair when I leave. She's very knowledgeable and helpful and helps me pick styles that meet my needs and tastes. Carly is always friendly and welcoming. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist.
