SERENE NAILS in Honolulu, HI

I wanted to give this place more stars, but there is another review that also highlighted the poor customer service. The manager Anne is extremely rude. I am new to the island and I don't have anyone to watch my son. So I had to bring him to my appointment. Instead of offering to hold him, the manager asked me to leave. Where I am from, most nail places will offer to hold your baby just while you finish your appointment. So when she asked me to leave, I did. But gave me trouble when I wanted to come back by myself to complete my appointment. I came back and within three days of the appointment my gel nails were chipping. Gel usually last up to 3 weeks. So I asked to come in to have them repainted for Christmas and she was again awfully rude telling me they were too busy, so I had to keep calling. She failed to tell the other nail technician that I was coming so I looked like I cancelled on her twice when I had I totally scheduled.

This is the part that makes me think she is a terrible business owner. As I am having my chipped nails repainted, she proceeds to badger me in front of other customers blaming my son for being the reason that my nails chipped. When I defended myself saying that I came back without my son- this was her issue that she wasn't replacing the gel because it shouldn't chip that easy. She kept talking over me then charged me for my nails. She clearly doesn't have compassion or respect for mothers. Also, she has poor customer service skills. I wish I could come back because I love the lady who did my nails, but I won't be because I don't love how the owner treats customers, including me. Save yourself the money and time-don't come here.

Ann provided excellent service as always and I am so pleased with this Unique Christmas Carol theme. 100/100 let's go!!!!!!!

First time here and based off of yelp reviews. Im picky and glad i went here. Was hesitant but one bad review over many great ones. Great service and careful with the service. I would recommend very good for basic pedicure. The vibe with chill classical music. It gets busy but they seem to manage. Walk in and they accommodated.

Worst customer service experience.
My girlfriend gets her nails done regularly.
The shop that she was a regular at was sold by the owner, so she has been trying new nail spots here and there.
Today, she went to Serene nails for the second time for a mani and pedi. The pedi started out great. However, the tech didn't make an effort to clean under the toe nails or cuticles and went straight into painting them. My girlfriend stated in a soft speaking voice, "Doesn't a pedi include cleaning the nails?" My girlfriend was then engaged aggressively by an employee named Ann, who stated that the girl did clean her nails. Again, my girlfriend gets her nails done regularly, so she is familiar with the procedure. The nail tech didn't clean the cuticles or under the nails, just trimmed and went straight into painting them. When the issue was brought up, my girlfriend was berated and made to feel embarrassed as the employee Ann started yelling at her, embarrassing my gf in front of everyone. My girlfriend had to ask several times for the employee to step back. The entire confrontation was recorded.
My girlfriend called me crying due to the negative  experience. I feel responsible because I gave her the money to treat herself. I never posted a negative review on any platform, but this situation was uncalled for and could've been fixed by simply offering to correct the wrong.

The staff here are very friendly! Rose was also super nice and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back in the future. Very little wait time and the location is great.
