S NAILS & SPA in Birmingham, AL

I wish I could have given 0 stars. Worst experience ever. Very upsetting as I used to be a loyal customer of S Nails and Spa. Upon arrival staff was so rude, acted as if our presence was bothersome to them. Once we sat down was very aggressive about add-ons to our services, making me and my friend that I brought there to have a great girls night very uncomfortable. I wish I could say that was it. Unfortunately, the list goes on. As she puts a bowl in my lap to soak my nails, the man doing my feet pulled my foot so hard up to him that it knocked the water bowl all over my lap, which were new pants by the way. Instead of immediately apologizing, both the women and man working on my hands and feet started talking to each other and laughing. I asked for a towel to help dry my soaked pants and was given a DAMP hand towel. Was not very gentle during the whole process, even cut my cuticle on 2 different nails when filing. Towards the end of the session when I pulled my hand out of the UV light, I saw a mess up on my nail and was about to say something until she said all done and walked away. I politely asked for her to fix it, and was met with a sigh and sloppy rework. As if this whole experience wasn't bad enough,  upon check out I find out they up charged me $50 for services that I never asked for. I had even called before hand to ask how much a pedicure and gel nails would be... $36 for the pedicure and $26 for the gel nails. To say I was livid when the total cost was OVER $100 would be an understatement. Not to mention the finished polish on my hands are so sloppy, bumpy and thick. The paint on my left thumb is also peeling ALREADY and this was done last night at 5:30pm. To say this is a bad experience would be an understatement. Please don't ever go here I will NEVER come back. It's a waste of your money, you WILL leave disappointed, absolutely horrible customer service...

I used to love this place and came here every time I had a need for my nails/toes to be done. However, my last interaction was terrible. My nails are uneven, my fingers were cut several times, and when I went back in to get them fixed they were made worse  

Unfortunately, I won't be back!

I was very pleased the first couple of times . We went for  pedi/ mani and it was great. I went this past weekend and after trying to make appointment was told I didnt need one. My nails look horrible. They look as if I did them myself. I am not pleased at all. After several times telling technician what i wanted, she disregarded. Her daughter was constantly asking and talking to her which caused a huge distraction. Tina is great. I would always recommend her. but as far as the care and concern that I was  given with another technician, along with the overpriced services, I would not recommend. I had to go to another nail salon to have them done 3 days after due to poor quality.

Thi is the best nail tech/ salon owner in the game. Everyone there is kind, professional and they do a wonderful job. They always have the best and latest nail salon services. If you want a basic clean mani pedi, they have it. If you want nail art or even gel x, they have it. There is nothing  she and her team haven't mastered and they treat EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE  with respect.

I found this place by accident one day, and I've never gone to anyone else in Birmingham.  The staff is wonderful and they do such a great job.  Can't wait to go back!
