They does a great job there although I hate the fact they stop on your hair & then leave & then you have to wait until the other person is done with a client's hair before she/they get to yours & They don't know or care to ask if you have anything to do or not. Like who wants to sit in a shops for hours & hours..... People be tired & ready to go like they really need to take that into consideration & be very mindful of others!
I called before I came twice to make sure they could do my braids,I sat there for an hour and a half waiting on someone before they told me they couldn't braid my hair , I will never go there they were very inconsiderate not professional at all.
This African Braid Shop was HIGHLY recommended by a friend who I consider to be a braid queen. I arrived at 9:55 on a Monday morning and the place was packed. There were 6 people already being serviced. They greet me and ask what style. I then ask should I come back in a couple of hours. "Oh no, someone will be with you shortly, you should wait". So 30 minutes go by and it looks like no one is close to being done so I get up to leave. Multiple braiders then reply "ma'm please wait she's almost done". I say ok but I'm going out and will return in 30 min. Now it's 11:05 I'm back so I continue to wait. After another 30 min or so I ask them what is a good time for me to come back. Once again, "ma'm she is pretty much done just a few more minutes please don't leave". Finally at 12:40 (2 hrs and 45 min later) I get in the chair. I requested small braids but when she was done they were clearly medium. After several hours of waiting, I didn't care I was just ready to leave. I will say the braids are very neat and the braider was fast and efficient. This place stays packed so they must really be the best in the area. I would probably give them another try but will not fall for the wait game ever again.
