I had an appointment with Dawn today and I left feeling so happy and light and excited. I went in looking to get my hair chopped off a bit but wasn't totally sure what to do with it. I gave her the reigns and she did not disappoint. AMAZING. It's the perfect length and has so much bounce. I'm in love and I'll definitely be back.
I wanted to give Rue 48 another chance, so I booked an appt. for a full balayage hair color a few weeks ago. During the consult, the stylist steered me away from a balayage and root touch up. I walked out of the salon with an overall hair color that lacked color dimension and a strong red tone, which I had requested to be taken care of during the consult. I just wanted brown hair with some lowlights! After paying over 250 dollars for my service, I decided to reach out and ask if additional toner would help with the red tones. I was told to book an appt. for a follow up, which I did. The stylist that was going to "fix" my hair, cancelled on me, and asked if another stylist could help with the toner. I ended up paying for another full service hair appt. Over 500 dollars was spent at Rue 48 in 2021 and I just ended up paying a colorist at Juut in Edina to beautify my hair. I'm sad to turn my back on Rue 48, but they've lost my business for good.
