A bad haircut combined with an under the table payment made for a very bad experience that I will not have again. They do not have prices posted. First, I was charged $35 for a haircut that would have cost $11 at the barber school. Not embarrassing, but not good either. Second, they DO NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS and since I did not have this much cash, I was asked to Zelle the money to the stylist and caption it so it appears to not be a payment. What a way to avoid paying taxes.

Rkooa is the spot. I've been coming here for 2 years now and thought it was about time I write about my positive experience. Rkooa is either for you or it's not - simple as that. If you're like me and hate sitting in a chair waiting for your haircut, Rkooa is great. They have an app (Rkooa 2.0) that allows you to virtually save yourself a spot in line. Say you've been on the app for a while and it's finally your turn, but the time doesn't work for you? No problem. They've always been more than willing to move me around on the app for a time that better fits my schedule. I go to Rkooa for fades, and I can say they always deliver. The fades are quality and I can tell that they put their time into it. Yes, I will admit that the barbers do occasionally get a little too focused on the Netflix they stream, but who cares? The cuts are great and there's pleasant conversation. and say you don't want to talk... fine. They've never pressed me on my slow days. As I said, this place is either for you or it's not.

So sad that Tatiana is no longer threading eyebrows here! I found out from a Reddit thread that she has relocated to AJ's salon on Healy St. I have been her loyal customer for 3 years, and I was really sad to hear she wasn't there anymore. Giving one star because the other staff here were rude to me when I was just trying to figure out where she had gone. Also they have a really annoying digital sign on system and don't take appointments over phone, its very inefficient.

JUST FOUND OUT TATIANNA ISNT HERE ANYMORE :( apparently she is at AJ Salon on 101 e Healey st. This place used to be good when Tatianna was here, she was the only professional person, other than her the staff is very loud and rude and lately they have the Netflix blasting so loud you can't even hear yourself think.
