Something You Salon & Spa in Champaign, IL

Needed a men's cut and was looking for quality. I travel for work so sometimes a cut can be hit or miss, but based on the reviews I thought I'd give this place a go and I'm really glad I did! The receptionist was very helpful and friendly and got me scheduled in. The studio itself is very inviting and feels really great. Ella was my stylist and she not only has a passion for hair but is also a great conversationalist and really fun. And, they start with a shampoo and a neck, scalp, hand and arm massage. Talk about pampering! Never going to a barber again haha this place is awesome! Ella knocked my cut out of the park and I was very pleased. Also I would like to note that everyone working in the salon seemed really happy. Just great overall vibes. Thank you!

I moved to this area over a year ago! I walked into Style FX to get my haircut. I still go there. I have never been to more friendly and comfortable place to get my hair cut! the owner and became great friends. I always go to Brittany who is the best at what she does. she is one of kind!! I highly recommend

This was my first time here, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was really pleased with my experience; everyone was so nice and welcoming, and I really appreciated the transparency around prices and services. I went in for just a cut. Payton was my stylist; she was super welcoming and comfortable to work with. She listened to exactly what I wanted for my hair and consistently checked in with me as she worked. She made sure to explain everything she was doing and the products she was using, which was great. I loved my experience and love my new hair, and I would definitely recommend Something You to anyone looking for a relaxing and satisfying hair experience!

I recently visited the salon for a haircut and blow-out, and while the hair washing experience was excellent, I must admit that I was disappointed with the other services provided. Despite my specific requests, the haircut did not meet my expectations. I had specifically asked for layers to reduce the thickness of my hair, but unfortunately, I ended up with what looks like two layers and no face framing. It was frustrating because I already had layered hair that just needed some additional length taken off. The stylist didn't even bother to trim my existing bangs, she left them untouched. The blow-dry experience was even more disappointing. Instead of dedicating time to properly blow-drying and styling my hair, the stylist solely used the Dyson air dryer. My hair is thick and curly- air drying it doesn't cut it. I had anticipated leaving the salon with beautifully straightened hair, but instead, my hair appeared half-done and lacked the desired finish. Considering the price I paid, $160 plus tip, I had expected a higher level of quality and attention to detail. Unfortunately, the final result fell far short of my expectations. While the customer service was commendable (hence the 2 stars), I find it difficult to justify the cost for the subpar haircut and unsatisfactory blow-out I received. I genuinely hope that the salon takes steps to improve and provide a more satisfactory experience for future customers. However, based on my disappointing visit, I have decided not to return to this salon. My appointment was with Kelsey on July 6th.

Best Salon in Champaign, hands down. I see Janie and she is wonderful. Excellent cut and color services.
