This was actually my 3rd time, and last, visit to this location! I made appts for both my husband (manicure) and myself (fill) with Helen. Someone else did the SPEEDY manicure on my husband which turned out to be a very shoddy job! He still had dirt under his nail bed, she didn't cut his nails down far enough nor where they even. So she had to go back and re-do/correct her work. My fill: 90 minutes and 6 coats of polish later! What a disaster! My nails are so THICK with acrylic and Helen had the nerve to comment "they aren't drying"---you think? I am now trying to find another nail salon in the Puyallup area if anyone have any suggestions.
My favorite nail salon on South Hill. The space is clean and spacious, just make sure to make an appointment because they book up quick especially around the weekend. All the girls are good, but if you can snag a spot with Vee, you're lucky!
I recently stopped biting my nails and asked for dip powder to protect them. I got a same-day appointment, they were very friendly, didn't comment on my short nails, and made them look very nice. The place was clean and the people were friendly. Would recommend.
It took me a while to find a laid back, clean, thoughtful, and relaxing nail environment that fit what I was looking for. I have seen all sorts of combinations of people including couples and men come in for services (something I adore about WA state as an out of town er). I love Rainier for so many reasons! Staff here is always kind and considerate. I have had them remove gels, gotten several pedicures, and a couple of manicures. They always focus on doing an excellent job and making me feel welcome. I recommend calling ahead day of for an appointment as they do fill up, especially on Fridays and Saturday's. Tucked away a bit but easy to find! When it comes to my nail needs I am loyal now to Rainier.
Even though the customer service is subpar, I started going here because one of the technicians did an amazing job on my first nail dip. However, after that, the service has been very inconsistent, and some technicians have been downright rude. When I pay to get my nails done, it is nice to have somebody who can at least be friendly. I am truly disappointed that a business would allow such behavior. I will be looking for a new nail salon. Additionally, the lady who did my nails today did not do a good job at all. The dip does not go to the base of my nails. She went so quickly that I thought she had another appointment. As a result, my nails don't reflect what I asked for or what I paid. Super disappointing!
