They boarded up the doors and closed on new years. I have no idea where any of the stylist went but I hope I can find Tina again. She was great.
Salon at Ala Moana closed permanently effective 12/31. I had an appointment on 1/21 and no one from salon bothered to tell me salon closed before I showed up for my appointment.
Brought elderly mother in law for first time to Purebeauty at pearl ridge Macy's. Made appt earlier in the week easily over the phone. Stylist "Sugar" was personable. She asked pertinent questions of mother in law how she parts her hair, styles her hair, and cares for scalp. She even showed / gave helpful tip to better massage her scalp when sitting in the shower (she's 90) by placing one elbow fixed against the shower wall to not strain shoulder as much. LOVE the attention to helping a senior citizen ! Shampoo, cut and style-- out in less than an hour! . Will continue to ask for stylist "Sugar".
5-17-22 I looked into the salon and it was empty, no customers whatsoever. One woman at the desk walked away as I entered.
There was an elderly woman behind the plexiglass who ignored me so I waited. Finally she looked up after talking to herself. I asked by any chance do you have an operator who can give me just a hair cut?
She looks down and says I have nothing today and nothing tonight either.
Ok Thankyou I said. I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman when the shop girl refused to help her with an attitude.
Perhaps that's the reason they had no customers.
