It's been so long since I've left a salon completely satisfied with how my hair looked. Jean listens to what you want and is meticulous with getting it right. I was just looking for a nearby place and found her studio from Yelp. Highly recommend! She's so sweet and prices are very reasonable.

I started going here when they opened up during COVID. Jean is awesome, she was able to "dry cut" my hair. Whenever my hair grows out, it doesn't grow out "funky". She also cuts my 100 yr old grandma's hair while she is in the wheelchair, so that I don't have to transfer her to another chair.

The shop is always pleasant,nice, and clean. They used to take walk-ins, but now, they've become pretty busy and you're lucky if you get there in time to "walk-in" for an appt.

I was recommended by a coworker to give this place a try because my roots needed to be refreshed. I will say that I had the most pleasant experience with the stylist Tasha. Not only is she sweet and personable, but she also suggested a more low maintenance hair color. I previously had a lighter brown that turned brassy and all you dark haired girls know- as soon as the roots show you feel like you need to get them done ASAP. However Tasha suggested a different color that wouldn't be as noticeable when my black hair
grows out and I am so thankful for it. This salon is clean and has a overall chill vibe. I usually end up wanting to sleep in the chair but they had local music that I could jam to which was a plus! They can fill up quickly with walk ins so I suggest calling ahead to make an appointment. I highly recommend this salon! :)

I've been going to get my haircuts at this location for 45 years. When the shop changed hands during the COVID-19 calamity I was a little hesitant to go back (when the name changes from "Barber" to "Hair Studio" you can bet the prices went up), but I decided to try it. I'm very glad I did. With the prior barbers I just got a 10-minute "trim above the ears" and when it grew out I had wings on each side of my head. Under the new ownership each stylist has layered my hair so when it gets longer it hangs tidily over the ears until I can get back to see them again.

The price went up but so did the quality of work. I don't mind paying a little more.

Also, the space was remodeled and looks a lot nicer (new lamps!) than it did. The one thing I miss is the rack of National Geographic magazines the old place used to have. I could always get my science and travel fix by reading those while waiting for my turn.
