Fantastic Sams Cut & Color in Aiea, HI

I usually have to fix my husband's hair after a cut here but just cause they missed a spot on the neck. The first pic was last year Sept with this crazy botched job on my kids head that had to be completely recut. Top left was after a shower. Now my husband is fixing tonight's crooked & uneven cut. They also didn't clean him off well, loose hair everywhere & itching all the way home.

I wanted my daughter to get a shampoo and cut for the first time. And it ended horribly!!! The lady (Lin) cutting her hair and shampooing was so rough  my daughter wanted to cry, so I asked her to be more gentle.   I wanted to take a video and pictures of my daughter's hair and she got upset saying that she doesn't want to be in the picture.l or the video which I wasn't putting her in any way. But she was paranoid about it. Probably because she was irritated that I asked her to be more gentle... she ended up saying she didn't want to do my daughter's hair anymore and passed ny daughter (7) over to her boss Yong.  When I mentioned to Yong that the lady was very rude and being really rough with my daughter's hair, she didn't even seem to care. She just brushed it off and laughed! Supposedly, Yong is the owner of that place. What kind of service is this? Why do you hire people like that? That have no customer service and don't know how to do deal with different age groups! Never will we go back there!!! Yong, If you ever read this, you should train your staff better and have better management skills!

Hana was amazing!! Every couple years (yeah I know I should get a trim more often ...) I chop off my hair. Each time I ask for something low maintenance but cute, and leave it up to the hairdresser--I've always been a bit disappointed except for today! Wow Hana was so good at steering me in a direction but also asking questions about what I wanted or pointing out that I needed some more volume in the front etc. and the hair cut is so different from what I've had before but actually complements my head shape and is CUTE! And doesn't do that weird cowlick thing when I wash it. She was incredibly efficient, didn't try a bunch of fancy stuff or talk herself up or sell me things. And they were able to fit me in immediately, and I quickly got my favorite haircut for less than $40. Definitely found my go-to person and I've been to all kinds of hair places across the country including very pricey ones. Thank you!!

Would not advise going there unless you feel like overcharging yourself for a basic haircut.  Asking for your hair to be washed was a given and they do charge for that because it is easier to cut your hair that way. The one time I went last month however, I asked for a haircut on approximately a reference photo. No brand, it was not a celebrity cut either.  It was a straight up cut.  Got charged extra because it was a "Specific Hairstyle". Upcharging for a hairstyle regardless of whether it us shown in a photo or description will not matter much there unless you straight up ask for a bowl or a buzzcut.

Yesterday I went to go cut my hair. Asked to cut off two inches and I wanted layers. Didn't even get layers . And after she cut my hair the women who cut my hair didn't even blow dry my hair after she was done? All she did was blow dry a piece of the front of my hair and was like okay done! In my head I thought to myself really you're not going to blow dry my hair ? Does fantastic Sams not blow dry hair at the end or what?
