Pro Nail II in Purcellville, VA

I have been going here for years. I always get greeted and they know what I want before I have to tell them. I go every 2 weeks for gel manicure and sometimes pedicure regular french. I work retail and always get great comments on my nails. They always use the proper tools and they come straight out of the sanitizer machine. they have fixed a few nails I messed up free of charge.

I am now sporting a gel manicure that has not chipped in 3 weeks!! Only reason I need to go today is for the grow out! Unheard of. The owner did my nails. They lost a star because of pedicure. I have had and cured toenail fungus. I like to see better sanitation i.e. New emery boards and soaking bowl liners etc. This is a very good local spot, next time I am taking my own kit.

I've had my regular manicures here for the past four years. I can't vouch for the gels, acrylics, or whatever is "new" to nails these days! However, I've always had very good manicures here. Let me clarify this since I seem to be the only person who thinks this little spot is good. I now live in the forest. Literally, my home is surrounded by forest. Beautiful yes, but its also quite messy and requires a great deal of grounds work yearlong. Planting and mulching in the spring, mowing and chipping in the summer, raking and chipping leaves in autumn, and snow removal and chipping twigs in winter. This means uneven nails and ugly cuticles even when wearing gloves. My nails are quite healthy and they grow way too fast. This is a mixed blessing. Usually when I walk in here, my nails are three or four different lengths and my cuticles are a complete wreck. YIKES!!!! I leave with beautiful nails and cuticles. The place is always clean (even the restroom which is iffy in some of the best spas I've been to), never saw a dirty towel, hands soaked in warm, sudsy water in proper nail tray, hand and forearm massage, and great chit-chat. They've even turned the TV channel for me. Every now and then, they give me a paraffin treatment for free. This is a cheap little neighborhood nail salon - not a spa. For fifteen bucks, I think they do a good job. I've had better manicures at Neiman's in downtown Dallas, at resorts and spas all over the world, but for a "QUICK FIX MY NAILS" spot, I like this place. I'm sure there are more elaborate nail salons in Leesburg and further east, but in Purcellville this is the place. Maybe it just depends on who actually does your nails here. There are so many different people working here, so maybe that's the difference.

Sitting here getting a pedicure as I type worst ever!!! I feel like I'm going to leave with my feet in worse condition then when I started. Don't waste your time or money!!!

1 Star actually meant -1 Star. For the following reasons... 1. Unsanitary, dirty, smelly. 2. I originally went in for a gel manicure, and watching the way she treated me i changed it to just a regular manicure. 3. I had my fingers soaking in a sippy cup filled with cold water? I felt like I had ARTHRITIS by the time it was time to actually work on my nails. 4. She FILED off the gel polish I had on, and now my nails are paper thin. 5. She gave me a 4 minute manicure. No really, I timed it. 6. Did I mention she tried to use a dirty towel under my hands when giving me my manicure? UM..... yeah, I said something. & I ran as fast as I could. EW. DO NOT GO HERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
