The WORST place to get your nails done in Middletown. I have been a customer since high school (9 yrs ago) and my past several appointments have been horrible. I'm at the point of writing a yelp review. I had an appointment booked for a manicure and pedicure for a wedding I am in, but when I showed up it seemed like nobody had a clue and asked me several times during my appointment for clarification that I had also booked for my nails to be done. My nails ended up coming out so horribly.... I cried during the appointment due to how poor the service was! My nails are razor sharp on the edges despite many attempts to politely ask for them to be rounded... I'm a pediatric nurse and simply cannot have sharp nails. I tried so hard to be polite and was incredibly out of my comfort zone asking for my nail tech to listen to me, so if you're someone like me then I DEFINITELY do not recommend. I'm so upset, they look horrid, and I wouldn't recommend this nail salon to anyone.

If it were possible to give 0 stars I would. I called earlier today asking for pricing on exactly what I wanted, a simple French manicure and pedicure, I was quoted by the manager $70 for both. When I arrived my fiancé and I specified again to the manager although we had called earlier what we wanted done. Both the same exact thing. Somehow they assumed we were doing a full set although no one mentioned wanting or needing a full set. When I arrived the first two woman who worked on my fiancé and I were really nice. They started the pedicure process, when it was time to paint they asked what color we wanted, we yet again said a French with the tip a very light pink. They looked super confused and switched with 2 new ladies. The new ladies didn't ask what color they assumed white. I caught my woman while she started my second toe when I noticed it, and she said "yeah" then continued to paint it white, then when I said it again she got mad. I told her I want a light pink, and she brought back a neon pink and a magenta. At this point I was already there for 1hr without any painting getting done and still had my nails to do. So my fiancé and I decided let's just change our plan and go with a normal French since it was clearly so hard to comprehend what we wanted. The new ladies who sat down were extremely rude. Assuming my fiancé and I didn't speak Spanish they started talking shit until we made it clear we spoke Spanish. At this point they had the audacity to look at us as if we were crazy for knowing what they were saying. Of course we let them talk their shit for a bit. Nothing better than the face of "oh shit" when someone gets caught. They were rough and made many mistakes. My toes have little to no "tip" on them and we were there for over 2 hours. My cuticles are cut and have blood marks from the roughness. The woman working on my nails painted over blood that was on my fingertip that she did not clean, and when I noticed it and asked her to redo it she was huffing and puffing. We left paying 180$. 40$ over our quoted price by the manager for rude, unprofessional, and truthfully sloppy work. Don't waste your time coming here, especially if you want your nails done properly. Let me also throw in the fact that we came to get our nails done because we are getting married on Friday and the team knew this. Yet they could care less about being precise. Slow business, over charged, extremely rude, and horrible paint job done. For a simple French.

I have been here before and had fine experiences, which is why I returned. Most recently I had made a reservation for 2 pedicures. Even with the reservation, we were told it would be a 10 minute wait, fine no big deal. Actually, I had to wait 40 minutes and we weren't even seated together.

Edited: at the end, manager did reach out and apologize.

I've been to the Newington location many times. I was always greeted and treated well by the staff. I expected the same while visiting this location.  My Mother and I arrived.  The owner was having a conversation with another gentleman. The owner seen my Mother and I waiting. The owner continued his conversation for another five minutes.  When the owner came to check us in, he didn't bother to say hello. We told him we had an appointment.  . My Mother and I  were told to have a seat. The owner prepared the water, then had us take our seats at the pedicure station. My water was cold. The owner had already walked away. We sit waiting 10 minutes, when the owner seats a white patron next to us. He is very nice to her, making small talk. He asks her if she likes the temperature of her water. I was wondering how come we were not treated this way. Five minutes goes by, when the nail tech comes over. She goes to the white patron. My Mother and I were not happy. The owner realized the error and corrected it. All of this for a mediocre pedicure. We will not go back to this location. A suggestion to the owner, provide great customer to all of your customers.  Not based off of the color of their skin.
