NV Salon and Spa in Edison, NJ

UNPROFESSIONAL!... I made an appointment for my wedding hair style consultation as the bride, and to get my hair dyed. I didn't have the chance to wash and dry my hair beforehand but I was never told to have that done before the appt and I was going to pay for them to do it. As I was getting ready to leave my home they called me to ask me what my appt was for (should already know since I made the appt specifically for the consult and hair dye), I explained to the person on the phone what I needed and they said ok that's fine... I arrive 15 minutes early and I sit in the chair and explained/asked to the person "assigned" to me that I have chlorine in my hair, would that affect the dye. She said no, it's fine (wrong! Chlorine is very bad to have in your hair while getting dyed). Then I showed her the style I wanted for the wedding (big curls with a hair pin in it, very simple). She said I don't know if I can do that but I can dye your hair. I explained to her again that I was there for my wedding style consult. She kept trying to pawn the style and me off on the manager. I explained to her that I don't have many days off and I couldn't come back for a consult with someone else which is why I made the appt for today! She didn't realize my child (15) was sitting in the front so every time she went up and asked or said something to the manager she didn't relay the information actually said to her! She was told that I had to have my hair washed and that the style could be done. She told me, I'm sorry we can't do that style but I can dye your hair, she went to the back and I got out of the chair, told my child we are leaving and they tried to apologize. They asked me if everything was ok and I said no because I came here for my wedding consult and to have my hair done and I'm being told incorrect information and I'd rather have the person doing the consult know what they are doing and to do my hair the day of the wedding. They tried to apologize again and I left. I explained to my child what happened in the chair and she said, she was lying to you because the manager told her completely different information than what she actually said. If this is how they treat brides I don't want to know how they treat their other clients.

Salon was very clean and nice! Scott did a beautiful job on my pedicure and nails! Would highly recommend and I will be back!!

Went for a hair trim with Troy Derring. He is the best stylist around! He does magic with your hair. He is not only very knowledgeable with his craft but also a sweetheart. I highly recommend him.

We came to NV for the 1st time today. Both Troy and Alexis were amazing! My daughters came out feeling as beautiful outside as they are inside. We'll be back for sure! HIGHLY recommend!
