This was our first time ordering from Wok Express. We ordered the garlic chicken and the shrimp with broccoli and both were so delicious. We asked for it to be a little spicy and it was just perfect, the sauce was so good, they should bottle it! Please note, if you order to pick up, the street number on Oaktree Road is a little tricky but they are located inside the glass building called "the Mall" which is across the street from the old Dairy Queen/bowling alley.
I don't like leaving poor reviews, but there is NO way I would recommend this place. We ended up coming here because the chinese spot we originally planned for nearby was closed. We ordered hot & sour soup, which wasn't made correctly and oddly tasted like sambhar (a South Indian curry) and the dry gobi manchurian was heavily burnt..which they reassured was "crispy." I would atleast expect an oriental spot to get their hot & sour right. Anyway, the employee asked us how everything was after we threw away majority of the food. He just shrugged and walked away when we kindly said the food wasn't very good. Definitely not pleased with customer service either!
This restaurant is the best Indo Chinese restaurant in Edison, best hot and sour soup!! Yum!!! Food is authentic Indo Chinese.
I ordered the thai noodle and chicken 69 or 65 or something. Oh my god. Im not indian or Thai , but the quality of food here is better than all the thai restaurants i have been to. The noodle is so so so flavorful, that even when i already feel full i still want to shove it in my mouth. The chicken taste so fresh and the owner is super super super nice.
This is a hidden gem! Fantastic and authentic Calcutta Chinese food! Hakka noodle then transported me back to Calcutta China town in an instant! Owner is extremely nice and courteous and more over hailing from Calcutta Chinatown himself understands the nuances and quirks of Calcutta Chinese! Manchurian fish had a very light crispness outside and perfectly spiced! Chilli chicken in gravy was very authentic too. Loved this place!
