I have been driving 40 minutes+ to come to this place for years. Julia really knows what to do with my hair and I always walk out very satisfied. Last year I was lazy and got a color and perm in my local salon, my hair was damaged so badly that feels like hay. Finally it grows into certain length I can have a cut, I came back to Julia. Not only she cut my hair to the exact length I wanted, gave me a beautiful texture perm, she also gave me a nurturing treatment to my hair before the perm! I really appreciate it that my hair is elastic and soft again, with the healthy nature glow! My appointment was on a Wednesday morning. During my stay there, they also had three other customers, but was not packed. They set a timer and I got very prompt attention so the chemicals won't stay on me for more than enough time. Julia's assistant speaks English well and was very friendly. I am very happy with my experience here

Nice Salon for a haircut. My daughter goes regularly to this salon and loves it. Julia is very good with Kids.

**WARNING-- DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!**My brother went here for a men's perm and here are the results before and after. His hair looks EXACTLY the same after the appointment and the older woman who did his hair, Julia, said that it is normal for your hair to look exactly the same after a perm and that it would take several more appointments to see any results. Note, this service cost $100 and she was asking us to pay another $100 for the next appointment with no guarantee of results. Despite the lack of any change in his hair, Julia argued with us and refused to issue a refund or fix the results, insisting that we should come back the next month and pay another $100, again with no guarantee of results. Thankfully the other man was working in the salon that day and accommodated our refund. Not only is this salon trying to steal your money, but they are not willing to compromise with the customer if the results are not as promised. What a nightmare! Separately, as a woman, I have gone to this salon one time for a trim where they charged me $50 (never again!). If you are looking for a perm or quality service, please save yourself the trouble/money and look for another salon to do the job.

First time visiting. Came in 10 minutes before the appointment time, and I got started right away without delays. Process: I was given a small locker to put away my jacket = PLUS! Started off with a wash by the older gentleman (owner's husband, I presume), then sat down for the cut by the older lady (the owner herself). I was given a large arm cushion (never seen that given to male customers before! PLUS!) After asking what kind of haircut I wanted, she started working on my hair immediately. EXPERIENCE: It was a pleasant experience overall -- NO LOUD MUSIC, just the droney background music from the H-mart outside. Only one chatty customer in the other chair, with the younger female employee working there. The shop is BRIGHTLY LIT, clean, and it's not filled with odors like some other places sometimes are. I almost fell asleep from the snip-snip sounds of the cut. Having the arm cushion to rest my arms made it even more comfortable. The owner did a great job with my hair which hadn't been cut in half a year. She switched back and forth between clippers and scissors. She used a brush and then blower to get all the hair off, then styled it with a gel the way I wanted. Even trimmed my eyebrows a little. CONCLUSION: All for a good price of $30. I tipped $5 per person. The owner is experienced (10 years at that location, and before that 10 years in Metuchen, the next town over). I feel like I found a good, reliable shop who knows who to cut Asian men's hair. Getting my hair washed first was a bit unconventional, but I'm fine with the result. Speaking Korean will help. If you don't speak Korean, you might need to bring a photo. I heard that the owner (older lady) is the person to ask for Asian male hair. Appointment is necessary!

amazing place. been there twice in the last few months and impressed with the results everytime. i've been getting a men's perm and julia (the lady) always does a fantastic job and is so nice and genuine. awesome lady and i felt comfortable regardless of the fact that we are in a pandemic. great place!
