Nelle's Dominican Arts Beauty Salon in Freehold, NJ

This is one of the worst places. None of them are skilled, plus very unprofessional and arrogant. They burned my face and my hair. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone.

Yesterday I walked in with my two daughters to have their hair washed, cut and flat ironed. When I asked if they could do it I was told yes and we sat down. Another gentleman walk in short after for a haircut and he sat down. After about 15 minutes a women walked over to me and asked me to make an appointment for tomorrow because they were closing. The shop says that it's open from 10-8 so I don't know why I was asked to come back another day and the man after us was no. I do not recommend this place to anyone. it was very unprofessional. I own my own business and would never treat a client like this.

If I could rate this place a zero I would. I went it to get my hair done for my 18th birthday and SHE DID TERRIBLE and still charged me $45. I was told to come in at 11 they didn't take me until 11:30-11:40 then they blew my hair out. Then I waited another 30 mins just to get my curls done messy. This lady kept going back and forth SHE BURNED MY HAIR. I have very curly hair and she made it permanently straight! I don't know what chemicals she put in my hair, what I thought was hairspray clearly wasn't it. Terrible service DO NOT RECOMMEND. Would never return. UPDATE, it is not Tuesday July 2nd and my hair is still straight when it's naturally curly, smells disgusting because of whatever spray she put in my hair, and I had to cute 7 ins of my hair off because of the lady that did my hair named

How dare Nelle call this a Dominican salon when she has unskilled MEXICANS in there trying to do hair!?!? I suppose it's because today is a holiday they had no Dominican girls in there but then in that case they should just close the salon! Such s fraud. What a waste of time and money. I Don't recommend this salon and will not be back.

My cousin and I were in town for our grandmothers funeral. We'd been packing up her apartment and desperately needed our hair done. I'm from California and we don't have Dominican shops but I heard good things. Thank goodness for yelp and for the other review. We made a same day appointment and they squeezed us in. They're blow drying technique is amazing and the price was perfect. I needed a haircut too. Usually I'd be stricken with fear letting a total stranger cut my hair but she did a great job. I'm sure my nana would have appreciated my appearance (hair done).
