Nail Envy Spa and Salon in Rochester, MN

I was in last week and I felt like I was bothering all of them. The tech did a rush job and acted like she was really mad at my feet. She also made me start to cry at the end from just being unkind. BOO - you guys may be empty for a reason. Just be kind to people, its not hard. I am a full-time caretaker for my Mama and I just wanted something nice for me. You ruined that. Shame on you. Excellent dip manicure for st patty's day while in town at Mayo. Very clean and professional, Took us right on time and very pleasant atmosphere

All i have to say is i should've listened to the reviews... If i could rate 0 stars i would Me and my coworker decided to treat ourselves on one of our days off so we decided to try something new. I read some reviews prior to going but i should've went with my gut and go somewhere else. The place was pretty and very laid back... the vibe was just like any other nail salon... nothing really stood out accept the pedicure room in the back... otherwise pretty basic. When you first they say hello, how can i help you... now don't get me wrong i don't mind the greeting it was the tone that was put into the greeting... that's when the red flags began. Us girls both got full sets with gel, they told us to pick a color even tho we had pictures with what we had in mind. I had James and he had mine done in almost 20 min... its very sloppy my hands are lightly stained with black dip (which i didn't ask for) and they are uneven my tips look terrible and the nails are bumpy and wonky. He didn't make any conversation with me other than to ask me about the color. Mine were finished.... but rushed and sloppy. My coworker started off with a nice woman, she was very soft and calm struck up conversation right away... Only negative thing about her is it was like she didn't know what she was doing... James (the owner) made her constantly get up and do every little thing while she was trying to balance having a customer (WHAT THE HECK DUDE). After finishing my nails, james had my coworker move to his station so he could do hers... He kept muttering under his breath criticizing and making rude comments about what the nice lady had started. After fixing everything, he began to use dip for the black part of her nails... same thing stained her hands and she didn't ask for it... moving on to filing her cuts her, she's already in pain because he's being rough with her and he just laughs after he cuts her saying wow your blood is really red... i'm sorry but that was just rude and unnecessary. Overall the experience was terrible and would never go there again.

Nail Envy Spa is very clean. I like the steps the owners take to keep the spa looking nice and clean! The owner and his wife are great! I have had several nail dip manicures by James. They look great and last a long time. I loved my pedicure that his wife gave. Unfortunately, I am not as impressed with some of the other nail techs. I had gel not dip the last manicure. In 9 days I have returned to the spa to have 4 nails fixed and as of today 3 more are broke or chipped. I will have my hometown nail person give me my next manicure. I will go to Nail Envy again,but will make my request for James or his wife to work with my nails.

went in for a gel manicure. my nails are uneven, thick & poorly shaped. manicurist was rough & seemed in a hurry . answered phone throughout process. not worth the money.
