Ancill is so personable and makes you feel at ease (despite the fact that you're getting waxed ) I have been coming to Ancill for about 7 years and I have no complaints. When you find someone great in this profession, you stick with them. Thanks Ancill!

Just wanted to come back and say I still love it here. Ancill has since moved to her oxon hill location full time, but I've been coming to MSI for the last 3-4 years. The new space is very bright, super clean and very welcoming. I normally get the waxing services and facials every few months. Reasons for the five stars: - a Brazilian is SUPER fast. It took her 19 minutes today to do a full Brazilian WHILE still holding a conversation with me about my upcoming trips. (Yes, there's some pain...but I've never had any irritations, burns, etc) - Ancill is super personable and actually remembers specifics about me (which makes me feel valued). I know she has tons of clients, so it's nice to be made to feel special. - the prices are super reasonable - her Covid procedures have been top notch throughout the whole pandemic - my facials are also super relaxing and REALLY good! She uses high quality products that don't overalls irritate my skin. - she's very knowledgeable...and I ask a TON of questions. Overall...still my go to spot for my Brazilians and facials.

I've been a regular of Ancill for years and she never fails. I see her for a Brazilian wax every 4-5 weeks (online booking makes my regular appointments very convenient) . She uses 2-3 kinds of wax to ensure all of the hair is moved effortlessly with little pain. In addition she is very friendly and we always have great conversation during my service (which absolutely helps). Ancill also takes her time and is not only knowledgeable but she is a true esthetician with tips, tricks and products to ensure you are taking care of your lady parts (no ingrowns here). She also has her own product line for women's and men's beauty needs. I recommend Ancill hands down to anyone looking for a friendly, professional esthetician!

If I could give more stars I would! Ancill is amazing, she provides great service at affordable prices, in an extremely clean environment. I would recommend MSI to anyone looking for an amazing wax experience!

I've been going to Ancil and her Cap Hill location for years, she is a wax GENIUS!! The only aesthetician who's never burned, bruised, or irritated my skin... she uses FOUR different types of wax with 2-3 techniques of waxing depending on your skin type hair type etx... sometimes using all the varied wax products and techniques in on area ( ie a bikini / Brazilian wax )... so thankful for her after I had tried crazy "high end" places that cost more than double her fee ... and would leave me crazy irritated with huge rashes ... I now travel to her MD location to continue seeing her, and my mom travels from VA to go to her... she also saved us with our ingrown hair issues in educating us on what products and care to engage in and now we rarely get any- and IF we do- her system has taught us how to manage them successfully ! FINALLY feel liberated and no longer self conscious when I wear whatever bathing suits I feel like!! Her artistry continues to her eyebrow waxes. This to me is a HUGE DEAL!!! I am Middle Eastern, and our eyebrows are everything to us ... she completely understands the desired aesthetic and cultural connotations, and they are PERFECTION!! She also ALWAYS asks if I'm using retinol currently - and if so- she will NOT wax due to skin irritation. Love her !
