Miracles Beauty Salon in Fort Washington, MD

I've been here a few times and I pray each time it's better. Sadly, it's not. Unprofessional atmosphere and poor customer service. The best things is the inexpensive roller set. If you are seeking a stylist to take care of your hair or good customer service...don't stop! If you want an inexpensive hair style until your stylist gets back from vacation then this is your spot. I hate writing this review and I admire Kim for being in business for over 10 years at the same location and her daughter (Miracle) now works in there too. I wish they had better customer service!

So i went to this salon for the second time for a sew in a week ago. I have a lot of hair and the first time the stylist did an excellent job. My only problem was that she talked quite negatively about her life the entire time. I dont get sew ins often, but it's helpful during the summer. I had mainly been going to weave express but decided 2 try miracles again. This time i had a different stylist. She was nice and professional, but i don't think she knew the techniques for dealing with alot of hair. When she finished,i had a huge hump on one side of my head. The other stylists tried to help and kept saying it was bulky because i had 2 much hair, but i explained that I'd gotten sew ins multiple times before and there were no humps. They fixed it somewhat, but over the next week i had 2keep messing with it and wasn't pleased at all. I tried to have weave express fix it but they would only remove the hair and start all over. So i purchased the needle and thread And did it myself. In some areas i could tell the humps were just due to bad sewing technique. Ive never sewn in hair before but It looks much better now. in the future I'll just go to weave express.

Sorry this review took so long, no telling how many others have been scammed with a similar quicky. Haste makes Waste ... Good hair service (esp. in a salon) sometimes must exceed "1 hour"!! * Poor customer service, unfriendly ... owner. * Hair serviceperformed (mostly half done) by owner (Kim) * Owner didn't take the time to consult, esp. being a new client & considering my style expectations...which didn't require a miracle, just skill, motivation & patience * Didnt protect the client from hair droppings on the face/eye * Cut the style poorly, unevenly * Curled/styled the hair "unbecomingly" & inappropriately (considering it's texture) Minimum effort was made to satisfy the client from the start. A waste of money. I went STRAIGHT home to shampoo my hair & got another stylist to redo my cut & style. I will never revisit again, nor will I refer any clients. First impressions are lasting impressions. No miracles were performed during this service! But I was out of the shop in a jiffy!, and the waiting line was'nt long!

Quick service, as fast as the Dominican shops. You can be out in less than 2 hours, maybe even 1. Located in an office complex in Fort Washington, you have to know where it is to find it. However, if you are a new client, do not expect great service. They can do what you tell them but nothing more. I asked for a hair cut, which Kim just started cutting my thin, fine hair and then said that there was nothing that she could really do with it. Really? Maybe you should have thought about that before starting the hair cut. I wasn't adverse to short, fly haircut but think that she wanted to get out early as they close at 1 on Saturdays and it was already 12:30 p.m. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, they are not the worse but service leaves much to be desired. If this is typical, I can't recommend them for anything more than a maintenance salon.
