Minx and Company Salon in Puyallup, WA

I had my hair done here when visiting Washington. I used a recommendation from Yelp to help determine who I should see. My experience with Rene was not the same as the other reviewer (who liked her very much). She cut my hair in a way that it was very hard to manage for the entire rest of our trip (a month). Hair sticking up all over... thank goodness for paste and hair spray. Curls that barely curled (cut too long). And a calic that would NOT cooperate (cut too short). And to top it off, this was the most expensive place I went to on our trip around the country - even more than in New York! I hope others have a better experience with this salon.

If you want to know my opinion about the quality of service in this salon, then here it is. On March 12th I had my haircut in Chardonnay done by Melissa. I was satisfied by the haircuts I had in this salon before (done by a different stylist), but this time I was shocked. I asked for a short haircut with open ears and thin long hair framing my face that is on my temples. Right after the haircut it is hard to evaluate what's been done. But the next day I realized that there are these "bushes" on top of my ears, and even when I tucked them in there would still be these "baldaquins" over them. But slightly higher than the ears there was barely anything, as if I got a military haircut. No matter how I style my hair, it looks like my scull is deformed. The hair on my temples is shaped like a shovel (instead of the long thin "bird-tailed" shape that I asked for). The bangs are weird. But the hair on top of my head is standing up in this perky manner, sort of like a palm tree! This has been the worst haircut I've ever got. It makes me older and uglier at the same time. I did not expect such incompetency from the stylist.

Dani helped me decide on a color and style that would fit my personality and I LOVED IT. Trying a new salon and stylist can be a bit scary, but Dani was so personable and wonderful that she made a first visit seem like my 30th. She books up fast so unlike a normal visit for me, I actually booked my next appointment immediately so I could make sure to get an appointment. She has a loyal client base for a reason! Thanks Dani and Chardonnay!

I've been there twice now and both times really enjoyed my services. Nice people, relaxing atmosphere, exactly what the spa experience should be.

The staff at Chardonnay is awesome! The front staff and all of the stylists are so friendly and welcoming. The salon is clean, inviting, and in a very convenient location near Canyon road. I have been seeing Dani for awhile now and she is extremely talented! She listens to what I want and she always remembers the little things like using a trimmer as opposed to a razor to clean up my neckline! Everyone is like family at the salon and they make a point to help the customers feel like they belong to that family as well. I highly recommend the salon and Dani as a stylist...especially if you are looking for a fun, short cut - Dani is your girl!
