Onyx Spa & Salon in Puyallup, WA

i scheduled an appointment on friday to get my haircut. knowing this is a highly rated salon, i was surprised that they had a same day opening. once i arrived to the salon, there was a note on the door indicating that the salon was closed due to a "power outage" -- all the buildings near by had power & the string lights outside also had power. they would be calling back tomorrow to reschedule. not only did i take off work early to receive a haircut, i was not notified until after i drove out of my way to the salon. i called back to try and reschedule my appointment or receive a refund of my $31 deposit, i was sent straight to voicemail. i had high expectations for this salon and was extremely excited to go. disappointed. i don't even want my haircut here anymore i just want a refund.

Jesse has been a wonderful stylist. I'm new to the area and had to find someone I could trust. I have not been disappointed at all. It's relaxing, comfortable and safe. With the Covid restrictions they take the safety of their customers and staff very serious. You arrive, call and then if it's raining they meet you at your car with an umbrella. There is a hand washing station right outside the main entrance. I leave feeling pampered.

I booked a hair appointment because I was so desperate to get rid of the quarantine hair. I did some research and felt pretty confident about trying them out. All I can say is I am so glad I did! Emily is a magician! She listened to exactly what I was looking for with my new do and did an amazing job! She was super knowledgeable with all the questions that I had and was able to recommend some really great products that would work for my hair type! I was so pleased with the results, I sent pictures immediately to my sister and mom and they booked appointments with her right then because they were so impressed with her work! I would really recommend making an appointment! I might even venture to the spa side of things to see if the amazing service carries throughout!

I've been to Onyx Spa a few different times. Went for 2 different massages. One was a regular and second time it was a pregnancy massage. It was amazing! I was really nervous about the prenatal massage but the girl (Sorry don't remember her name, she is brunette) and she made me feel so comfortable! Third time I went for hair and makeup for a special occasion. The woman I believe who did it is one of the owners. Something came up and I was only able to do my makeup and for the inconvenience she did not charge me which was incredibly sweet! I can't wait to go back!!

Excellent CBD massage! Love the outside sink so hand washing takes place prior to entering the business. The vibe of the business was excellent. I would definitely go back!
