Mavana Nails & Waxing in Falls Church, VA

Unhygienic and sloppy work. I came here with a girlfriend to get pedicures. We walked in and were seated promptly. My water was cold and the girl was rough with filing, when she sprayed with alcohol it burned where she filed my skin. Then she used a grater straight from the floor to scrub my calluses! My friend bled when they cut her cuticles too short. We both couldn't wait to get out of there.

6/16/23 and 7/29/23 Back again for a pedicure this time.  I wanted my feet looking good and feeling great. I definitely wanted my toe nails cut short and round and that is what Ms. Diamond did today.   Today; however, Diamond gave off the impression she is the boss of the store.  Ms. Diamond  has gotten use to my waiting for at least 5 minutes foot soak before pushing back the cuticles and cutting them. During my foot soak, I saw Ms. Diamond helping out another associate power drilling a clientele's nails.   Evidently the client wanted her nails done a specific way. During this time my eyes ended up looking at my legs.  After a while I saw Ms. Diamond sit down and I noticed her legs are silky smooth. I decided right then and there I would get rid of my hairy legs.  Waiting for Annie Waxing Studio modeling gig is taking to long. I asked Ms. Diamond about getting my legs waxed and she seemed to think guys don't need to get that done.  The same reasons women shave, wax, sugar or pluck, can be the same reasons guys may donebthe same thing.  I don't  like body hair and choose to get rid of it when I can. Especially down south, but I digress. The only person who is trained to do waxing was busy with a client.   I don't believe she was in the mood to wax me either. Nevertheless, Ms. Diamond finished up with my pedicure and my feet felt much better. I especially enjoyed the callus remover scrub down.  It might be ticklish, but the dead skin removed did wonders for my feet. I will be sure to stop by here again.

After a few great experiences with Linda for pedicures, I took a gamble as a walk-in and was accepted for a pedicure by an older woman. I should have stopped her after I yelped in pain from cuticle trimming. Instead I actually apologized to her (because I must be Canadian). The salon was fairly busy when I arrived, but at the end (nails were drying) she started someone else's pedicure and I was waiting there with my money for a long time. I woke up with my toe in pain and swollen and I'm worried it's infected. Feeling regret.

I made the biggest mistake and tried a new nail salon! When I say I was cut multiple times I was being cut over and over again I have never felt pain getting my nails done! Not only that this shape is horrible! I was so disappointed! The woman who did my nails had acrylic all over my fingers and my cuticle was flooded. It is day 3 and I'm already having lifting! The worst experience! Mind you I came in for a simple fill! Lastly I got white acrylic and my nails turned yellow instantly!

Very small place. always hot in there. The massage chairs are pretty old and depending on which one you get most hardly work. Spa: it's supposed to be a comfortable environment cool quiet and calming. Depending on how many people/customers are in the store they're either chatting on the phone watching videos even the nail techs will have a conversation on the phone while doing your nails. I tried them three times I'm done.
