MOSAIC NAILS & SPA in Falls Church, VA

I've been going here for about a year now and every technician I've had is amazing. They pay attention to every detail and truly want you to love your nails. My nails could last months. I renovated my entire bathroom (ripping out tile and putting more down) and my nails didn't chip once. I would highly recommend going here!

First of all, this salon gets crazy busy on the weekends regardless if you have an appointment. Next time I will defiantly come during a week day. My friend and I were both looking for a new salon to go to relax and talk. This place may just be that very salon we will be going to from here on out. Both of us wanted SNS dip nails and a pedicure. Mai did my pedicure and was wonderful during the whole experience. She helped me choose the right color and absolutely made me feel so relaxed during the whole process. For my nails, Kelly did such an amazing job with me. She took her time to consult with me first about the design choice and the tweaks I wanted to make. Overall service is amazing and will defiantly be going back but on a week day of course.

Ever since my old technician sold her store to retire, I thought I would be at a loss in finding a nail salon just as good..then I noticed my coworker was coming to work with really cute and pretty nails every few weeks and asked her where she'd get them done. She said Mosaic Nails and I decided to give them a shot! I have now been going here for over a year, running on nearly 2 years and have LOVED going here. All of their technicians are super talented, and most can draw very intricate designs.Today I saw a technician painting 2 teddy bears dressed in a santa costume, I am genuinely always impressed by all the work that they do. [Service: 5 of 5] Techs-- Cathy, is my girl, I always and only request for Cathy for my SNS dip nails. I usually always have her add tips on my already long nails; she takes care of my real nails with such care, making sure that they don't break and stay strong so that I can continue to grow them out. Today, I got tips with pink sns dip, I showed her the design I wanted and she gave me exactly what I was asking for- it turned out even better than the original photo! --The store also provides small 8 oz. water bottles for customers, they used to offer soda as well but I am not sure if they still do. I think it's very sweet of them to offer drinks to their customers. Tips: I would definitely suggest setting up an appointment with them before going; they accept walk-ins but of course setting an appt will be easier and better for you and them. The best thing about this store is that they offer a discount for every 5th visit where you spend over a certain amount of $. (This is only if you have a stamped card from them). I think this salon is so under rated, and as much as I don't want more people knowing about it (because it means longer wait times and harder to book), I want everyone to know about this amazing store.

Adding: The tech also cut me multiple times (last few pics) I called to make an appointment ahead with a specific tech. I usually take a while to pick a color so I showed up early and she let me know my tech needed until my appointment time which was fine. About 10 minutes after my scheduled time, I walked past my tech and noticed she was just starting color on her current client. When scheduling my appointment and when I came in I mentioned I was short on time but since I was already there I asked if I could see someone else. I noticed the tech I originally scheduled finished with her client 37 minutes after my scheduled time. My new tech wasn't great, my thumb was a lot longer than the rest and some of the nails were uneven, but they were super nice so I did not want to complain. This could have been avoided had my originally scheduled nail tech been available. I complained to the manager and she was barely apologetic.

I am updating my review from a couple years ago. I moved and didn't go to this salon for a while, but moved back to the area and gave it a try. I went once for a dip mani that started chipping a week later. I thought it was a fluke so I went back. It was actually the worst experience I've had in my 10 years of consistently getting manicures. I called and made an appointment but it didn't matter. I was passed around between 3 different techs in the course of my French mani. I believe that led to some issues. There was a mixup with the bottles that caused the tech to put the wrong thing on my nails (glue rather than top coat). The process of trying to get this off was very damaging and my pinky started bleeding several times and was so red and inflamed. It also appeared to be bruised below the nail. She then did the design (French) with crooked lines and when I asked her to go over it again she said it was fine even though the color was not opaque yet so I wanted another coat. I had to be honest at the end I didn't like my nails. They did contact a manager and offered to redo them. I said yes because they were just so bad. The tech that redid them did a nice job. However, 2 days later, the chrome finish is completely gone. It's like I didn't even get chrome and just got a regular mani. I don't think she applied the chrome correctly. Incredibly disappointing when this was $96 all in and at the end of the day took 3 hours of my time. Adding a pic of the nails I requested be redone and a pic of my nails now. While the French is much better, the chrome appears to have washed off. I was told by the receptionist that she'd talk to the manager about a refund but never heard back.
