Most thorough wash I've had. The blowout has lasted me 7 days! Friendly stylists and clean salon.

So glad Mariel and her staff are back!! Feel totally comfortable and safe. My hair is looking so much healthier already.

Loved Mariel, my haircut and my blow dry! you have to try this place. it's reasonably priced, they are efficient, nice and do great work. Will definitely be going back

I'm writing this review because it's hard to find reliable hairstylists who care about their clients who have all hair textures. This salon handles each client with care. Their facilities are clean too! I have naturally thick hair and no perm which I have yet to be able to manage washing on my own as it tangles the moment water hits it. I came into the salon as a walk-in explaining my dilemma and Mariel looked at me and my hair like it was no problem! She scrubbed my hair with confidence (I was so worried she wasn't going to be able to comb it afterwards) but no, she handled my tresses with care and confidence. She told me she was going to blow dry and then flat iron after detangling it, and that's exactly what she did! I was out of the salon in less that two hours and love my hair! Only had to use 3 quarters for the metered parking outside. I will be back!

horrible customer care when owner was not in. I was not told Mariel would not be in, or i would not have went. i had hair washed, curlers, under dryer, then blowdryed, a mess! My hair is African hair with no perm but i have never had a Dominican salon not do it in a style that was pleasing until now. lI told Jocasta i did not like it. (she never asked how i wanted it styles, and she did nothing like Mariel did, as she is NOT a licensed hair dresser and not qualified to do anything other than a wash and set it appears. I walked in 5 minutes after appointment time but only a few customers at the time (parkingj sucks pay meter, but i admit they usually go out and put the quarters you give for you), i was there 4 hours!!!!! they took walk ins although i had appointment and hair is short.. i have pictures of my hair before and after, you cannot believe they charged me $72 to put my Clairol black semi-perm dye in, as i have allergies and told them i had to bring my own, they said it was $60 for the color, which turned out my natural hair color auburn and i still have gray hairs showing! I had to ask her to "curl" my hair, she refused and "bent" the ends, saying to her Dominican staff, laughing at me and teasing me in Spanish and English that its "Its YOUR hair, not my work!" laughing. I talked to owner on phone refusing to pay, they said they would call cops, i said and....they probably would arrest you for calling this a hair do worth $72 !! I paid and left and posted the pictures. They are very rude to anyone black, (accept a few loyal black customers), my friends and i noticed they always tease "black" hair that wants to be natural, forgetting their African heritage and the very reason they made money in the hair industry, because of black people. I will never go here again as they would not even compromise and Curl my hair the way i asked after paying so much. a relaxer in most salons is $75, i only got blow dry and my color i bought in due to allergies...its not the price, its the quality was not worth it at all. if your black beware!!!!
