bottomline is go somewhere else. They screwed up the cut and color were so rude. ripped earring out of ear while brushing hair and didn't even apologize. rushed through and did a lousy job. since then coworker had similar experience.

I booked an appointment for a color, cut, and style with any stylist on their website. I was looking for someone closer to home to do my hair, and had heard great things about The Mantra. My service ended up being with Fallon. It had been about 2 months since I'd had color, so I waned my inch and a half of regrowth colored to match the rest of my hair. She matched my color with swatches, applied the retouch, let it process, then washed it out. I told her I wanted my ends trimmed, so she just pulled all of my hair straight back and cut the ends. I've never had my hair cut in that way, and I also went to cosmetology school, and never saw a hair cut done that way. She didn't even section my hair out to cut it. She then rough dried my hair with her hands. I have thick, wavy hair that gets frizzy when dried. She never asked me how I style it at home, or what style I wanted. She simply rough dried it. It was still damp and she ran a flat iron over it. She then asked if I liked my color. The color she applied on my regrowth was 1-2 shades lighter than my previous color, so it looked like I had a dark band going around my head. She didn't seem to see the issue, but another stylist saw I was getting upset, and came over to intervene. She then tried to inform me that the only solution was to "break up the dark band with highlights, throw some low lights in the lighter part, or go darker all over". She also kept telling me that hair color wouldn't lift the dark band out of my hair. The interesting thing is, I never had a "dark band" in my hair before I went in there! Finally I agreed to just have a darker retouch color put over my regrowth, so the other stylist (whose name I was never told), came up with the new formula. The new color was applied, processed, and washed out. Yet again, Fallon never asked me how I would like my hair styled. She simply rough dried it. Once it was somewhat dry, she asked if I wanted a flat iron run through it. It was still damp in a lot of places, so I declined. I left with wavy, damp, frizzy hair. I was charged $71 for a color, cut, and style. It seems to me if you are going to charge someone for a STYLE, you should take the time to ask the client how they would like their hair styled. They shouldn't have to leave and go home and wash and style It themselves. Also, I worked in a salon, and NEVER saw someone charged full price when color was messed up and has to be redone. All in all, I was there for over 3 hours, and still not very happy with the results. I will not be returning to this salon, and I would not recommend it for hair color.

If I could give no stars I would. I used to go to this salon for over ten years to two different stylists. My mother and my daughter both came here, and my dog even went to their grooming facility. The problem began when my mom went in for a haircut and devolved a fungal infection on the back of her neck from the instruments her stylist used. She called and spoke to the manager and asked that she be refunded for her cut. The manager gave her money back and we thought the problem was solved because my mom went to the dr. And got some cream for her neck. Well much to our surprise, my mom received a letter stating that she should find another salon to go to. She was pretty upset. A couple weeks later, I started calling to try to get an appointment for my nine year old daughter. Every time I called no matter what I wanted done, when, or with whom no one was ever available. I called for two months and the receptionist kept telling me that she'd put me on a wait list. So one day I called for my dog an appointment and was told the same thing. No one available. I finally asked her outright if there was a note about me in their system. She said yes and said the owner would call me. The manager/ owner Cheryl is the rudest, most unprofessional person I have ever encountered in a place of business. Not only did she NEVER call me, she avoided my numerous calls. I just wanted answers as to why she banned me from a salon is be a loyal customer of for over 10 years. I did NOTHING wrong. The only reason she would have kicked me out would have been the previous issue my mother had with the salon which is ridiculous and has nothing to do with me! But I guess because we are related, my whole family had to go too. I gave them 10+ years of my business to be thrown out like garbage. I was deeply hurt by this. She didn't want us talking about the incident in front of other patrons even though we are not those type of people. This woman does not know how to deal with customers. She runs and hides.
