I called this place 20 minutes before I would be arriving, and they were happy to accommodate me. They are less busy during the afternoons, so I highly recommend it going at that time of day. It was very relaxing, the massage chairs for pedicures are top-notch. I got the $60 deluxe pedicure and a simple manicure for $80. I was there for an hour, the lady did not rush, and she did a very good job. I will definitely be back.

This is the best nail service I have ever received. My mom and I went together, we had to wait for a while but it was worth it! The ladies were so kind and accommodating and our nails came out amazing! Definitely recommend to anyone in Portland!

I feel scammed/taken advantage of as I don't know much about manicures. I called and asked if there could do a dip manicure (at the recommendation of a friend) and was told "we don't have dip we have powder"; I asked what the difference was and she said powder lasts longer. So I booked an appointment later that day and got my nails done with some liquid + a powder that was formed into a thick paste and she shaped it onto my nail. Again, I ask "so what exactly is this?" And again, was simply told powder. To my surprise at the end she rings me up and says "so it costs more because it's acrylic" - seriously? I asked multiple times and was never once told it was acrylic. I don't know much about nails but I have heard how bad acrylic is for your actual nail and basically impossible to get off on your own. I would have never gone to this appointment if she had been honest with me when I asked on the phone. Never again.

We had a terrible and surreal experience at Sila's Nails. The young couple that apparently owns the business likely means well - but they really need some coaching on how to run a successful business.  My sister from out of town called Sila's to ask if they could do 3 pedicures and 1 manicure later that day - we were told yes, for sure, and to arrive at 3:00.  When we arrived we were all taken aback by the condition of the place - and really should have trusted our instincts and left then and there. The place is a mess, terrible signage, just a mess. It's a very large salon with 6+ pedicure chairs and 2 nail tables - but everything was cluttered with random old furniture, stacks of odd things like toilet paper - just very unprofessional. The only person there was a woman (I assume the owner) doing someone's nails. There were 4 of us in our party - and we assumed that all of us would be able to have our services at the same time.  Shortly after we arrived, a man came in and very hurriedly opened up 3 of the pedi-chairs and started filling the tubs.  He told the three of us to sit in a chair and soak.  He told us that he had to be to work at his other job at 4:00 and didn't know why his wife told us he could do our pedi's.  *(Please note that we all suspended our concerns about cleanliness - I think we were just taken aback at how bad it was and thought it would be rude to just leave - but they did not use bags in the pedi tubs and though I did see an autoclave, it had boxes piled on top of it - so it seems unlikely they were actually using it.) He proceded to do one pedi in about 6 minutes- not a good job.  ALSO, there are two chihuaha's running around the shop - which you would think is cute, however, the female was in heat and the make was humping the poor thing all over the shop. They would occasionally yell out to stop the dogs, to no avail.  THEN, the man would grab one of the dogs by their Christmas sweater (it was April) and throw them onto our laps while in the pedi chairs - remember - humping, in heat dogs, on our laps...gross.  The woman owner was still working on a client's mani this whole time.  Also note that the radio was blaring some kind of foreign language talk radio the whole time - not even music to help clients relax.
So he did two really bad pedi's in the course of about 20 minutes and then decided he had to leave for his other job.  We gave up at that point - never had the third pedi or the mani...and yet, they charged us $35 for these really bad pedi's and the PTSD of this place.  I actually do feel bad writing this - but it is 100% true. We should have trusted our instincts and walked out as soon as we walked in... These folks really need to take a long, hard look at their business and clean up their act...I will never, ever, ever, recommend this place and will warn anyone I can about it.
