Lily Nails in Norwich, CT

I walked in and Jane gave me a great pedicure! Nice massage too. The salon was super friendly!

I'm military so being new to Norwich and meeting friendly people in the community, I totally thought the businesses would be the same way. Until walking into Lily nails! I will never, ever go back!!! I have never met such unprofessional and entitled people!!! I paid for a manicure & polish that is $30. The manicure never happened. I never dipped my hands in water nor received a hand massage. Not even a lick of lotion. They simply filed my nails and half-way polished them. After the 15 minutes of doing my nails, they charged my card $31.91. The nail tech asked was I tipping, I politely said no. The nail tech then tried to hold my debit card until I paid. Again, I nicely said I was not paying, she called a man (I'm assuming the owner) and he came over and asked me to give a tip. After numerous times of saying I'm not paying a tip, I blurted out the service was not worth it. She finally gave me my card back, but I totally feel embarrassed, humiliated, and bullied. I know that Norwich is a small community, but I will definitely be looking for a more professional place to do my nails even if I have to travel out of town. I attached pictures so that you can see how messy and dry my nails and hands are.

So rude! Some of the personnel that work there.  Just had my nails done on Wednesday last week, it's been a week. One of my nails broke, which it happens. But it should not brake so easily. I call to get my nail fixed, I shouldn't get charged, but I'm willing to pay. So I payed the 5$ for a broken nail and she asked for a tip in front of everyone, tapping on her sign near the register. For what my nail should still be fine. Last time I ever go there! I feel embarrassed! Yes I do tip but for good service!!!!! USE BETTER PRODUCTS!!!!!!

So I've been here a few times now never with an appointment and I have no complaints.  It is clean (not judging them for ceiling tiles... That's on the plaza owner not Lily).  On my last visit, I was one of first clients and the girls were cleaning, dusting and restocking.  So far, I have had traditional mani, Pedi, and gel fills with and without nail art.  The girls and women are great and speedy.  Each time I've had nail art they have asked along the way if I like what they are doing.  As I said, each time I have gone without an appointment.  I make sure to do this early in the morning, so I have always been accommodated immediately.  They are right around the corner so it works perfect for me.  I definitely would suggest an appointment on the weekends, because they get busy quickly.  And are still pleasant helpful and fit you in because I listened to many exchanges on the phone and at the door.  I've watched them in action with young girls too coming in for pedis with Mom.  Would be a perfect mommy-daughter date.  I'll keep going back because the service is fantastic.  An added bonus, if you pay cash it's cheaper than using your card.

Do not recommend going here. I was rushed to pick a color, then she picked one for me before I could see the options. She cut me twice to the point of bleeding during the service. My nails are uneven, bumpy, and extremely messy. I asked for a design and she did something completely different and sloppy. When paying way too much for the service I received I tried to give a $10 tip and I was pushed to give 15%. She mentioned changing it twice as I wrote the amount on the line. I am not happy with my nails or the service and will not be returning here.
