The last couple experiences have been rushed and I threw those experiences to the side because it's definitely hard finding quality in Indiana...especially in Carmel, IN ( relocated from the West Coast where they specialize in everything beauty including quality )....
Today was a nightmare ( I came with my husband )... not only was I rushed...Amy used her pregnancy to do it! I needed a fill and I had almond shaped finger nails and I asked her to make them a little sharper... I also asked Amy to fill my two big toes... Amy stated that she typically doesn't fill just the two big toes... I told Amy to just fill all of them then.... Some business guy comes in and she rushed and decided after all she was only going to do my two big toes like I originally asked.... So I wash my hands thinking okay I can deal with paying her maybe $45 dollars...Amy NEVER asked how I liked them NOTHING...and after all the rushing she decided to charge my husband $70.00 ( I wasn't standing by him when he paid )- I was livid... ***She originally charged me $80 for a full set and a full set on my toes *2 1/2 weeks ago*!***
Amy stated that my fill was $45 plus $10 to reshape them from almond ( to this half almond type foolishness ) and $15 for a fill on just the two big toes... I definitely knew right then my skin color played a role -
La vie nails is what I consider a more small scale nail salon compared to others in the area, but that's what makes me love them. Everyone who works there is good at what they do. Amy can do any nail inpso you give her and it will turn out the way you want it! I've never had a bad pedicure and the prices are very fair. They are closed on Tuesdays to compensate for being open on the weekend. Appointments can be made, but they will always take a walk-in!
I've been very disappointed with my salon I've used for the last 2 years. My daughter tried this salon and came home singing praises. I've started to have Amy to do my nails as well. She is very quick and friendly. She always remembers my name and does great work. I love the online appointment feature and always get in and out quick during weekdays.
