Great experience. They did it super safely outside. All you have to do is come with wet hair already after washing it 3 times with clarifying shampoo and they get to work. Great staff! Super friendly!

Review from an actual Brazilian here... I went to Roy with extremely damaged hair. He really brought it back to life with the blowout and made it look so good! I paid around $150 or $200 I think. I've been getting BB my whole life, in the US and in Brazil. And he does a pretty good job, and great job compared to anyone else in LA. Keep in mind the BB is a COSMETIC treatment. It is not meant to fix anything. It's meant to eliminate frizz and make your hair easier to straighten. IT WILL NOT MAKE YOUR HAIR STRAIGHT. It simply makes it so you do not have to blow dry you're hair before styling. It will damage your hair a bit...it's a chemical treatment...the results are mainly cosmetic and when it wears off your hair will be slightly more damaged. Nothing crazy though.

Split ends were the least of my hair woes, my jewfro was untamable. Even in ponytail I had several inches of frizz in all directions like a halo. I couldn't brush it without breaking. Conditioners,hair masks, and various treatments had long ago stopped helping as had every other product I tried. Roy's team laughed at what I had considered a hopeless situation. I hated to look at myself in the mirror and it showed, no outfit or cosmetic could overcome the impact of my greeting nest on my head. 3 quick consecutive washes, some kind of magical serum they worked through my hair and up to the straightening room we went, there are fans to keep vapors out of your face. My stylist wore a particle mask (she's exposed all day) and she waved those heat wants over my hair, blow dry, then heat. My hair was pin straight. I'm actually not looking for pin straight but I was instructed to rinse it out and condition in 24 hours, what I was ultimately left with was beautiful hair that had a slight wave which I LOVE. The haggard grayness once smoothed out actually turned into a single white stripe at one temple that I quite like. If you are nervous/new to the process take the plunge here, you are in excellent hand Update: it's now nearly JUNE ( 6 months) and it's not only looking great and frizz free but the lack of continual breakage means my hair is getting thicker. The spots where it had thinned out now have a short bursts of fluffy new growth and I can no longer see much scalp. Again, this has been life changing for me.

I wouldn't go anywhere else, I've been coming here every few months for almost 5 years. I took my friend a couple of times as well - one of the times she didn't feel the results were as good as they were the previous time, so they redid it the next day free of charge and it was back to normal and she loved it :) NOTE: I actually got a Brazilian done with my regular cut/colorist and it just wasn't the same, so now I keep the two separate - you have to think, these people are ONLY/MAINLY doing Brazilians day-in and day-out, so they know EXACTLY what they're doing and have a lot of experience and the price is the lowest I've found in LA. Other people quote $300 and over, which I would never pay for.

I've been getting Brazilian blowouts consistently for about 5 years now. I've been coming to Roy for the last 2 years and he never disappoints! The price is unbeatable and he definitely understands hair and knows exactly what he's doing! I recommend him 1000x!
