Harmony Nail & Threading Salon in Los Angeles, CA

I used to love this place, but it has gone all the way downhill. The lack of customer service is abysmal. For the second time, I've come here with an appointment, only to be told I have to wait some ridiculous amount of time. Apparently, when you call the phone number to make an appointment, the person who picks up the phone isn't actually there, and  does not communicate to staff that she has scheduled appointments.

Nobody knows anything or takes responsibility for anything.

I will not be returning.

The quality of nails done were very good for the price that I was getting charged. One of the more affordable places in dtla and they offer you free beverages and try to make you feel comfortable. I don't need nail salons to look fancy - I just need my nails done right and not get overcharged. The technicians are decently qualified and experienced!

So far I have gone twice and never again.

1st - my partner got a pedicure and the girl rushed through it and did a poor job. This day Ellen did my Pedi and showed me their spa menu in which I saw the Acrylic listed for $45.

2nd Visit - I asked for a Full set with gel and Brandon kept pushing me to get the Gel X I said no. Then I asked him how much for Full set and Gel he said $65 so I asked him to show me the menu and he said they didn't have one. Their only pricing list was on the wall - see below. I told him it states $55 and then he starts getting upset and wants to "call" his boss to tell me that the prices had changed. I told him the price Ellen told me from the menu and the price it said on the frame he continued to say no and continued to argue with me telling me that Ellen doesn't know about the pricing. Like really? Anyways- don't get ripped off.

Picture below is the reference photo I showed when booking my appointment. I booked an appointment a month in advance so I could secure a set of nails before prom. I walked in because they wouldn't answer the phone. The receptionist put my appointment down in their system after a showed her a specific picture of what I wanted. I asked her how much it would be and she said $90. I asked her again to confirm the price. Still $90. I asked her if she had that specific charm for my set and she said yes. I asked her if they needed to keep a photo of the set I wanted and she said no. They didn't want any way to contact me. Just my name. I show up to my appointment 20 minutes early. I wait over 30 minutes to be attended AFTER my appointment was supposed to have started. They didn't communicate with me as to why I was waiting so long. Then the nail tech said they do NOT have the charm I specifically checked that they had. The nail tech also said my nails would be over $100. Absolutely not. Do better.
