Jenny's Hair Salon in San Francisco, CA

I had a lovely experience at Jenny's Hair Salon! I called and was able to make the same day appointment for a woman's haircut, which they charge around $38 if you have medium length to longer hair. Linda welcomed me in and we talked through exactly what I was looking for while looking through inspiration photos together. Because my hair was wavy and dry, she gave me a quick rinse to make the cut more accurate. I asked for lots of layers with face framing in the front, and loved the results! The whole process took less than an hour, and Linda was kind enough to even run a straightener through my hair at the end just so I could see how the layers all looked. I will definitely come back for my haircuts and even color treatments!

It's the only place I'll go in SF for a haircut. Jenny's been cutting my hair for a decade now. The haircut always turns out perfect. I always feel good walking out the door afterwards

I came here because of the good reviews, but the end result and affordable pricing of my haircut still weren't enough to salvage my overall impression of coming back. I requested a layered haircut, however it felt like Linda literally just lined up my hair, cut across it, and then thinned out my hair. Because I was punctual for my appointment, Linda notified me that she was only going to charge me $28 instead of her usual $30 sticker price, however from other reviews it seems like $28 is the normal price? I'm not too sure if it's part of hair salon culture, but it's not cool to talk behind customer's backs about their hair loss in front of another customer-this left a bad taste in my mouth. The only pro of my visit was that besides accepting cash, this hair salon also takes payments via Zelle! It was very disheartening when she showed me the final result of my haircut because I questioned if the style was even layered, but at that point it's not like we could've redone the whole process? After going down a rabbit hole, it looks like the layers were blunt/straight cut instead of blended-I'm no hair stylist, but I know for a fact that what is being deemed as a layered haircut here, is probably a very low effort attempt.

I was long overdue for a haircut but didn't know where to go since I had a bad experience last time. after reading some reviews, I decided to Call this salon and got an appointment the same day. Told Linda that I wanted less layers so my ends wouldn't be so thin. Because of my previous haircut, the bangs were all chunky and drooping. She told me that we have to layer the bangs to lighten the weight. She took her time and trimmed all the dead ends off. Blow dry and straighten to style too. It came out perfect. For $28 + tips, I'm happy, better than the $50+ haircut I got somewhere else.
