I have been getting my haircut here and even when they were at their old location. Cindy and Sandy are very friendly and they like to get to know their customers. This is a no-nonsense, unpretentious, straight-to-the-point hair salon and they take pride in providing great service to every customer. With all of San Francisco's skyrocketing costs, this is one of few places where value and service exist.
Was in the area and needed a haircut. Walked in, got taken care of right away, and thirteen dollars plus tip later walked out a happy customer. Sandy is great, and I couldn't be more pleased.
When I lived in Burlingame I used to get my hair cuts at Adeline hair salon on Adeline and El Camino. Only went b/c I lived a couple block away but the guy who used to cut my hair, Vaje, was very moody. Then I moved to SF and I still would drive all the way to Burlingame. With gas, tip, time, it would be over $40.00. I kept saying to myself I would find another place in SF but kept procrastinating. Vaje would sometimes grab my head kinda hard and move it around even though I told him a few times to stop doing that. He made me feel like a child. Finally, when he did it again I had enough and found Elizabeth Hair Studio, which at the time was only charging $12.00 and it was only a two block walk from my home. Man, did I feel stupid for spending all that time and money for so long! I get my hair cut from Sandy, the owner. She's not as personable as Cindy but she's a very hard worker and does a good job.
