CODE Salon in San Francisco, CA

I've been going to code salon for a FANCYY haircut from Hiro (LA/beverly hills). He is very talented & popular. I like my hair color's appointment with Zoe. She listens & remembers every details of my expectations. (& trying to fix asap before the color turned out off) Their receptionist is sweet & attentive as well. BIG COMPLAINT for Becca. She is super aggressive, hurt my nose when trimming my bang off. (My nose was super red). I told her: "Please be gentle..." And she DID NOT want to cut my bang off fully, even though I kept reminding it to her. And interrupted me a lot. And she left everything unfinished: an uneven, ugly bang and did not explain a word to me. And wasn't telling anyone. When the receptionist charged me on full price, I was confused, (obviously no one was aware of it. ) Becca was walking by, STARING AT ME IN ANGER, intimidating gaslighting me, as if "how dare you bring this up to the staffs". Their receptionist was super helpful on scheduling me an appointment with another more experienced hairstylist on the other day. It was a QUICK bang trim but I feel as Becca doesn't know how to cut hair off, and has an unprofessional terrible attitude. It's TOXIC.

My experience at this salon was over the top wonderful from beginning to end. I had a haircut done at another salon the day before I went to CODE. My hair was quite long before that so this was a big cut for me. I was pretty disappointed with the cut and realized I wasn't going to be able to live with it. I found CODE online and although I typically cannot afford to go to a salon of this quality and caliber, I decided to go for it because I needed expert help in a hurry. No problem booking a next day appointment online. From the moment I stepped in the door to go up the stairs I immediately felt like I was walking into a more calm and peaceful environment. It is truly beautiful inside. I was welcomed right away and paired with Becca. I think it was meant to be. Becca was so warm and understanding of my situation. She listened to my concerns and I felt like we clicked right away. Any awkwardness and anxiety I was feeling before I came in was washed away. I felt totally comfortable like I was hanging out with a friend and she happened to be cutting my hair. She took what I had envisioned I wanted my hair to look like and made it a reality. I would go so far to say it was an emotional experience as I started to see my hair change in the mirror right before me. And may I just say while I'm talking about the environment, even though it was bustling, it felt spacious, airy, and private. THIS WAS THE BEST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER HAD! I highly recommend Becca! The person that checked me out in the end was so friendly and helpful as well. I don't usually post pictures of myself here, but I am that impressed.

Disappointing Experience at Code Salon: Poor Service and Lack of Flexibility My recent visit to Code Salon for a roots retouch appointment left me profoundly disappointed, primarily due to the salon's inflexible approach and poor service. From the outset, the salon's request for a consultation indicated a commitment to quality service, which I appreciated. However, the last-minute time change for the consultation was inconvenient, yet I remained flexible and accommodated the adjustment. Despite the promising start, my experience quickly soured when, less than a week after the roots retouch, I noticed inadequate grey coverage. Upon contacting the salon, I was asked to provide photos, a request I found unusual but complied with nonetheless. In response, the salon offered to schedule another appointment to address the issue. However, when I requested an afternoon appointment on any other day after 4 pm, due to work commitments, the salon's proposed date was a week and a half out. This delay struck me as unreasonable, particularly considering my typical four-week interval for root touch-ups. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction and the inconvenience caused by their initial poor service, the salon showed no willingness to accommodate my schedule or offer a more timely solution. Overall, my experience at Code Salon underscored a disappointing lack of flexibility and a failure to acknowledge their role in causing inconvenience. Such disregard for customer needs is disheartening, especially when it stems from the salon's own shortcomings.

Got referred to it by a friend and I must say it was a great decision. I was very pleased. Next time I will be their client.
