J Romer Salon in Cleveland, OH

so i have went to this salon about 13 times every 3-4 weeks the other day i had a appt i was running a little late due to traffic (rush hour time) when i arrived i apologized about running late and told them if i have to reschedule thats fine so then they began to reschedule then the owner says well she will have to put down 50 percent deposit if she wants to reschedule for a appt to make sure shes coming now mind you i never missed a appt all the times i have been coming here and i think thst was very unprofessional espically from the owner when he isnt my stylist i also think thats a way of telling me you dont want me as a customer any more so thats fine no problem your not the only salon also i have never heard of any hair salon asking for a deposit upfront for hair color lol espically from a established client that to me is very unprofessional and rude esoically when i always make it to my appointments and tip each time this is not a high class salon to begin with no offense its sad that they just lost a good customer they seem to pick and choose who they want as customers most of the clientile is older ladies that live close by that dont have a big selection of salons in the area i think the owner needs to learn customer service skills and should start treating all customers like they are the customer instead of playing favortisim with certain clients and being rude to others i also took my mother there for her highlights last month and they did not do it like she asked for but i paid for it anyway even though she wasnt hapoy she wanted them chunky and you ouldnt even see them and they didnt offer to even fix it either which was unprofessional its all about customer service and making the client satisfied one paying for the service so they should get what they want the salon owner jason is more about money than customer service

The only hair salon I trust through the years! I love Michelle, and honestly the whole crew are amazing. You can tell they are a tight knit group. I highly recommend to anyone looking for an Aveda salon that wants to support a neighborhood gem at the same time. I'll add pictures next time Michelle cuts my hair!

In terms of skill, the salon has it. I left because Jason, the owner, is missing a sensitivity chip. He's very charming and funny, but not so kind.

Absolutely the best! I have never had such a wonderful experience at a salon EVER! If you need great color Lee is amazing and Wendy is an absolute artiste with the scissors. It isn't just about getting the color and cut that you want it's spending that time with people who love what they do, excel at their craft and seem to really enjoy being with their clients. It's like being at a party but you leave feeling and looking better than when you arrived. J Romer Salon has a really great vibe and the receptionist, Troy is so much fun if you meet him you will be thoroughly entertained with his stories. Love this place and encourage you to give this salon a try soon.

She's an absolute stickler for detail, takes her time and won't let you leave if a hair is less than perfect! I appreciate that she is attentive and listens when you want to try something new, she always has a recommendation that suits your personality and needs. I trust her implicitly and she's never let me down. The salon itself is warm and welcoming. You truly have a sense that these folks are a work family.
