In The Village, A Fine Salon & Day Spa, Mullica Hill in Mullica Hill, NJ

I am a regular client at In The Village, and I have always been pleased; I have been going there for about two to three years. Today my regular stylist had called out, and I was offered an appointment with another stylist. I was never told that a haircut from this substitute stylist would cost me an additional $15.00! I did question the charge at checkout, but was told they had increased their prices. After later checking their website, I called and spoke to a manager. This is when I learned that some stylists cost more than others, and when I explained that I had not been told, all she did was apologize. I don't think this was very professional, and I am very disappointed in how they do business.

I was a new client, scheduled an appointment for waxing with Christine/Christina . The salon called at 8am the morning of my appointment to cancel my appointment said she was sick. They rescheduled me for a different day & called and confirmed the day before my appointment. The morning of the appointment at 08:30 they called to cancel my appointment said Christine/Christina was overbooked. So I wonder is this how they treat all their new clients? I did ask why I keep getting cancelled, no response. So I would not recommend In The Village Mullica Hill after the way I was treated.

Review for Woolwich location : Appointment was 30 minutes late with little to no respect for my time as a client. Previous appointment was double booked and then I was asked to move to suit the other client. Worst of all, the sign at the front desk stated there is a price increase for Hair coloring stating nothing about haircut and yet I was conveniently charged an additional amount over what I have paid for the last year. I've been getting facials and massages at In the Village for a fews. However, I got a facial as a gift in August and was disappointed. The facial mediocre and the specialist wouldn't put a mask on. I asked her if she could put a mask or a shield during the facial since she would be in close proximity; however she kept "reassuring" me she didn't hVe covid. Thankfully I am vaccinated but I kept my mask on when I could. I recently went another salon and the policy was all employees masked so customers were not put in an uncomfortable situation.
