I went in with healthy hair and 4 hours later I leave ripped off, with fried hair, nothing what I wanted, and out $260 dollars for a "belyage". My hair was already a level 8 when I went in. My stylist Brandon left the bleach on way too long. Completely fried the hair I worked so long and hard to repair. Showed him a photo of exactly what I wanted but he just decided he would do what he thought would look better and charge me extra for it. I wanted an ashy brown down to my cheek bones that then started to fade to blonde. Instead I have about an inch of this horrid strawberry blonde color that does NOT blend into the blonde well at all. He even used the "brown" dye twice, because he messed up the first time. Even my bangs are fried and damaged. He even went as far as to lie to me and say he used 20 developer with the bleach when he first started to not damage my hair.. I was sitting there when he told this woman to go make 30 volume bleach.. I wanted an ombré which is posted as $150. Yet somehow I end up paying $260? He also decided to give me a $50 blowout I didn't want. Stay far away from this salon!
The staff likes to add services that run up your bill without informing you. After getting a hair cut and colour which ran me 55 more than the previous time I will not be returning. The previous two times I was not charged for base break or lowlight colors. This time I was. Not happy about this.
Really like this hair salon. Perfectly located off of Camp Bowie. Staff is very friendly! Only drawback is that they don't take debit cards--only cash or checks :(
I had partial highlights and hair cut done from Jodie.. She is very sweet and did an excellent job! This was my first time getting my hair colored so I wanted it to be subtle. Jenna, the owner gave a very nice explanation about the hair color and the science behind it...These guys know what they are doing and care for the health of your hair! So double thumbs up :) !
Halo Salon and Color Lab has been my go to for the past 8 months and it now earned a one star rating....let me preface that I ONLY went there because of my stylist and nothing else. Initially I went because I had just moved to the area and bought a groupon to see if it would be a place to fit my needs long term. The staff is very hit/miss, the female staff are very rude and unpleasant in anything related to customer service....again I only went there for my stylist and avoided the rest at all costs because their arrogance was abrasive and took away from the experience despite being a "high end salon". SATURDAY was the WORST EXPERIENCE at a salon...any female should have. I had called on Tuesday to confirm my appointment and let them know I was on a strict schedule for my cut, highlight and blowout...if it could not be done then let's move my appointment. The assured me 2 hours was plenty of time. I arrived on time and he even dry cut my hair to ensure my schedule was right. Turns out he was double booked...HERE IS THE PROBLEM....I have ethnic hair and he is the only stylist at the salon who is qualified to handle my blow out (as told to me by the receptionist after the fact). He then focused all his time on the second client and my hair was not blown out. I was given a sorry discount, left looking like a troll doll and worst yet the color is nonexistent. I called in tears to see if they would make it right and no one was available to complete the blowout later on that day...the manager only offered a discounted blowout at a later date to make up for it (again as told to me by the receptionist) Im sorry but when you have the nerve to charge $200+ for an incomplete job then as a manager you don't even have the common courtesy to personally reach out to a client who has been a regular every 6-8 weeks...your business is not going to be ever lasting. THIS BUSINESS IS ONLY WORTH THE GROUPON...save yourself from looking worse than when you started. One more thing if you choose to continue to be a patron, please note that their bookkeeping skills also leave items to be desired...the receptionist told me she had no record of me being a client. Sorry Halo I do not have time to display the many credit card transactions because I have to find another stylist and location where customer service actually matters.

There's no denying that balayage is having a moment. This modern hair coloring technique has taken the beauty world by storm, and it's easy to see why. Balayage is a French word meaning "to sweep" or "to paint", and that's exactly what the colorist does.
