Pam is amazing! I've never loved my curls, now I do! She is a certified DevaCurl Stylist. The salon is super cute and clean. Pam gave me very clear instructions regarding parking. She texted me the day before my appointment and told me what to expect. She's super friendly and engaging. I've already referred all my curly haired friends to her. She has a new client for life!

I wish I could post two reviews since I use two individuals at this studio! Alesia is the goddess of beautiful color blends. Plus she takes the time to listen to what I want and fully explain what she thinks will get us there and achieve it, even if what I want is something that looks beautiful growing out, which means longer time between visits! I absolutely adore her and the way she works! Mary is a curly hair cutting genius, and pretty obsessed with curls which I fully appreciate. I showed her a few photos of my goals, and we talked about the steps it would take, how she thought we could best achieve the look with my particular hair structure and styling routine, and then proceeded to give me the hair of my dreams. I love these two women, they are my hair dream team!!!

I had curly coaching/ transformation at the beginning of my curly hair journey, then 9 months later I had the Deva cut (curly cut) along with washing and styling for $65, and now I just got curly bangs with the amazing Mary! I love her she gets what I exactly want she explains every step she does and recommend products. Appointments may take a few weeks depending on what you are doing. But generally I am pleased with how everyone treated me there and grateful for Mary's magic touch on my hair.

I called to make an appointment for a cut and color and spoke with Pam. I explained that I wanted to do all over brown color with purple bayalage. She said depending on how light I wanted to go we may need to bleach some or all. I told her that was fine and we scheduled her first available time which was about 3 weeks out. When I arrived and showed her pics of what I wanted she said she wouldn't do my color but I should call and make an appointment with the salon's color expert Ashley. I was beyond frustrated as we had discussed the specifics of what I wanted over the phone so it shouldn't have been a surprise. I had been looking forward to having my new look that night for a night out with my husband for his birthday and now all she was willing to do was cut my hair. I debated just leaving, but I really did need a haircut so I let her. I wanted a shag with bangs. She did a great job with the shag, my curls looked amazing. But she really jacked up my bangs. I didn't notice right away because I usually wear my hair curly but the first time I straightened my hair about 2 weeks later it was shocking how absolutely uneven and botched they were. I certainly will not be back.

Alesia at Hilights has been styling/coloring my hair for years now and I couldn't be happier! Her talent and expertise truly speak for themselves! I have been to many salons up and down the west coast coast over the years...never feeling like i left with the "look" i had envisioned. I have had many different styles, from chocolate brunette pixie to very long platinum mermaid waves...which can be difficult for any stylist to manage. Alesia goes above and beyond! She literally saved my damaged, tired tresses from disaster. Hilights is warm and inviting, offers/uses great products, listens to their clients, always smells amazing, and the owner is just delightful! I am so grateful i found Alesia...and have a beautiful, confidence-boosting style!
