Halo Designs in Vancouver, WA

This salon ruined my virgin hair. I went in requesting that my hair be bleached; with full knowledge that it may take a few sessions to completely be the blonde that I wanted but with hopes that we could begin the process. I signed a contract stating that I understood that there might be breakage or damage to my hair, but never once was I or warned that my stylist Ashley would be incompetent or allow me to leave with neon orange bangs, oranges patches throughout myself hair or dime size cheetah spots in it. Never once was I told that my stylist felt that she was not competent enough to complete this job, but that was obviously the case. She left my entire bangs sitting out of the processor and as a result they were destroyed. When I expressed concern, I was told I would have to make another appointment to come back and have it fixed and promptly rushed out the door. I was forced to pay $600 to leave with no product and orange hair. I did not trust them to fix it so I went elsewhere where I had to pay another $300 to have it fixed elsewhere. When I called to cancel this salon redoing my hair I received no answer, and I was unable to leave a voicemail which I was told was due to the holidays. I was then blamed for this with the salon saying that I had not called to reschedule despite multiple attempts to contact them in the days leading up. I was advised by the other salon to call and request my money back asking to pay only for the product due to the egregious condition the second salon found my hair in. Upon speaking with the owner however, I was refused a refund, regardless of how poor the quality of work, and regardless of the resulting expense to me and emotional distress this caused right before Christmas. I have no idea how any woman, let alone, business owner, could honestly look at this work, and the state of my hair, and say that this was okay or that it was work they wanted to stand behind, but I would strongly caution any person who is considering going to the salon to reconsider.

Elizabeth of Halo Designs is AWESOME!!! She listens to what type of hairstyle you want and she make recommendations where needed. She's the best hairstylist I've ever found in Vancouver, WA!!!!

I have been coming here for almost 2 years, everyone is friendly and professional, I always see someone I know when I come in; but more importantly, I am here for hair, and I leave with a great color, tone, and style! I also appreciate how they are involved in the community, with a food drive currently underway...toy drive for the holidays coming up!! We will be there! Thank you, Liz!!

I saw this studio when I was walking by and they were busy so I figured they must do hair well. I scheduled a consult and haircut, done together. Liz was nice but very much focused on the conversations of her co-workers which was annoying. I was concerned when she sat down to do my haircut as I've never had a stylist sit to make sure my hair was even. It was not. The way she blew out my hair concealed how uneven the cut was. I was growing out an A-line haircut and the back was finally shoulder length. When she cut the front of my hair, the face framing pieces are easily 2 inches off.

Louise is a great stylist and sure to leave you smiling. I can only speak for the mens cuts but if you're looking for a fun stylist who has experience and understands your asks, she's the one!
