Herbal Spa & Nails in Charlotte, NC

I've been hesitating to write this review but at this point, I feel it's necessary. After my fourth time receiving services from this nail salon, I've decided to not come back. Here's why- 2/4 acrylic sets looked good, the other 2 did not. DO not go to this place for designs. If you are looking for a very basic, 1 color, gel mani - you'll be ok but they aren't very good at designs. Everytime I've asked for rhinestones or a heart, they looked bad.

But this is the main reason why - ive had 3 pedicures there from the same women (I don't know her name) and she has hurt me every time. When she gets dead skin under your toenail, she goes way past the quick. Usually I naturally jerk back and one time she said "sorry, lots of dead skin." While I get that, you should NOT be going so far underneath sometimes toe that their nail rises and you are extremely irritated and sore after. This last time, I let out a yell it hurt so bad and almost walked out.

I just wouldn't recommend this place.

Li li just absolutely crushed my pedicure. I'm new to the area and really needed a tune up so I randomly selected this place and let me tell you, hands down the best pedicure I've ever had. She was so diligent and incredibly sweet too. I won't even run the risk of trying another place. Found my new spot on the first try!

Been coming here since 2019. All the good nail techs have quit, and moved on. Owner is extremely money hungry vs quality customer service. Spend your money elsewhere.

I am new to the area. I came here because of the nice location and all of the positive reviews. I went for a mani and pedi. I started with the pedi and showed my inspo pic for my nails. I was told that it could be done. Which is why I proceeded to receive service. My pedicure was $52. I got a layover on my big toe because a piece was missing. They tried putting a tip on my toe. I had to tell them over and over again that I did not want a tip but just a layover. They're very aggressive in suggestions. I also told the person what color I wanted my toes, she proceeded to place the wrong color on my toes. I did not want to argue. When it came time to my nails the person who did them was nice. However she did not do them the way I requested. My nails were suppose to be $75. But with me leaving out the design it went to $60.  I left out the design because it was not turning out how I wanted it to look. I have never received a $60 French tip.... Overall I would not go back there and I don't recommend anyone else to go... they're scamming customers by charging a "processing fee" it's $2.00 to swipe your card. That is very illegal. Photos are what I requested, what I received, and how my nails usually look when done properly.

So for starters I've been going to this nail salon for over a year and they've always done an amazing job. I went in about 3 weeks ago to get a nail set done for my homecoming and I expected a pretty high amount to be paid since I wanted really bold nails. I go in there wait about 15 minutes to be seated. I first showed one of the nail techs what I wanted and what the price would be and she said 80 or 90 something dollars. I sit down and show the lady who was doing my nails the picture and she immediately questioned me about the length that I wanted. Then proceeded to tell me that it was going to be more than I anticipated because the women before just assumed I wanted to get them shorter. She begins my nails and continues, with the sarcastic remarks about the length I desired. Everyone started surrounding me looking at my length. Of course I'm not gonna assume that they were being rude but of course it's a thought. Once we finished my girlfriend paid for me with my card while we finished. I'm pretty sure my tech was throwing a tantrum because she thought I didn't tip her after she stayed about an hour after she was supposed to leave. But they ended up taking up around 30 dollars fom my card when the original price was 110. I then realized after I left that my nails were crooked, the gem style was not at all what I wanted, not to mention the line of gems are crooked too. Gems were different sizes, and you can see my nail growth right through the nails. Overall I refuse to recommend this place anymore. Sorry are just too pitiful. But I must say there has been 0 lifting for 3 weeks, that's pretty good for nail salon acrylic
