A friend of mine referred me to Bird and I am absolutely STUNNED at how amazing my hair looks after my first appointment with them. I haven't had my hair cut professionally in almost a year after an awful haircut and finally have found someone who just gets what I'm going for. They really take the time to figure out exactly what you want -- just book an appointment, you won't regret it.

My stylist Bird is the absolute best. I've been seeing them for years and they've consistently done an amazing job with my color and cuts.

I dropped my girlfriend off here for her appointment on time and 30 minutes later she called me and said that the stylist wasn't done with the person before. We had a really tight schedule today and already rescheduled the appointment per Casey the stylists request, definitely not professional but not that big of a deal. Now we get a call about 45 minutes later asking where we were and we told them we left because they were not ready at the appointment time and we waited for 30 minutes when we were told it would only be 15.  Casey was so rude on the phone, didn't even try to apologize or make any effort to make things right. How she spoke to my girlfriend was uncalled for and disrespectful. We will never do business at places that treat their coustomers in this fashion. What a disappointment.

After a year of cutting my hair myself because of the pandemic, and after getting vaccinated, I decided to treat myself to a professional hairstyling.  And what a great choice I made!  I looked at reviews and locations and chose Sydney at Halo on SE Sandy.  Sydney listed to me patiently, and she respected what I wanted and what I didn't want.  For example, in the past, I've told hairstylists that I'm sensitive to fragrance and they'd still offer products, saying "Oh, it has very little perfume."  Not true if you're sensitive to perfume.  Sydney simply accepted that and didn't try to push any products on me.  The cut and styling was not only what I described - it was better.  I've never been happier with a haircut.  Also, Sydney is very funny (and saucy).  A totally enjoyable experience.  The only problem is, now I can never move out of Portland.

OMG, Sydney can cut hair!  I have long, "challenging" hair and she gave me the style that I wanted. Loving my hair cut.  Patient, talented, lovely person and a mind reader.  Highly recommended, will not go anywhere else.
