Amy's Beauty Salon in Portland, OR

I called around 4:30pm and asked if someone was available for 3 haircuts for my children and someone was. Came in and no one else was there but the stylist and she got started right away. She listened to what I wanted for their haircuts and took her time to make sure they each had a nice fresh cut! Her name is Mailee and she was nice and sweet. I love the cuts she gave my children and am happy with the services, we will definitely be coming back.

I went to this salon to have my hair colored brown because of gray. My hair turned out to be orange and they did not offer me no discount no help to fix it nothing. I would not recommend the salon for dying hair they have no idea what they are doing.

After the pandemic and moving across states. You can say, getting a very much needed haircut was not a main priority.
You keep thinking you need one, or that you should have made some time, but life gets busy. The other down side is- once you do find the time... getting into an appointment is a obstacle itself.

I had a day off one afternoon and being nearby Gresham, I saw Amy on Yelp and decided- why not? Gave her a call and she answered and was able to get me in asap. She was flexible, courteous and kind.

Once in, we went over what I would like to get accomplished and the price points.
First off, prices are very much affordable.
Secondly, she obviously has the experience and care. Noticed when she shampooed my hair the temperature was warm and perfect, and during the final rinse she switched to cool water. She was able to accomplish the length and texture of my hair without overdoing it and gave me the perfect look for my round face.
At the end, my hair was silky smooth, soft to touch and cut beautifully all in a short time span.

Since we had the time, I also decided to get my eyebrows waxed and let me tell you.
My eyebrows looks more fuller!
I started off with thin small brows that was grown and unruly and without precision waxing and detailed tweezing she made it seem perfect!

Bonus feature is she accepts the 10% discount when you arrive and check in on Yelp.

Highly highly recommend for everyone to stop by and try Amy's!
I would have loved to get photos, but she said she is in the middle of renovating and upgrading her sign and inside.

*Covid procedures on hand. Hand sanitizers available before entering and she wore a mask the whole time, and I did the same.

I typically go to Moon salon down the street, which has similar prices and services. However they were closed today so I decided to try Amy's. It was similarly great. The price is amazing, at just $12 for a man's haircut (be sure to leave a generous tip if you can). The quality was good, service was fast, and I had a very modest 5 minute wait on a Saturday afternoon.

Just back from my first visit--my hair is a glossy cinnamon & nicely trimmed, everyone was so nice, and there was music playing. We laughed talking about family at the holidays...looking forward to going back soon for a facial.
