Hair Ave Beauty Salon in Massapequa, NY

I followed my favorite and oong-time stylist here from another spot. It's larger than other salons so I like how I don't feel like I'm ever on top of other people. Melissa, my stylist, is a genius and color so, if you're looking for an honest, talented colorist who is also a master at chemicals like perm, curls, straight perms and relaxers, I highly recommend asking for her. She also almost never double books so you won't find yourself waiting around for her during your session.

I made my appointment at 1 just for a simple haircut and they made me sit for 50 minutes without saying a word or attending to me. I have somewhere to be so I had to get up and leave. Ridiculous service. Don't make an appointment for someone if you're going to prioritize walk ins without considering your scheduled bookings.

I got a beautiful balayage At this salon today. My overall experience was good I can't complain. the lady that did my hair color was amazing very attentive, also the lady the cut my hair she was also great. I love how the curls turned out my hair looks gorgeous I'm Absolutely 100% very satisfied with the service.

I rushed home to write this review. I cannot express how happy I am. I came in with an absolute wreck of hair. Grown out platinum white with yellow banding below my root line- absolutely awful. I walked out with possibly the best hair of my life. Every single staff member was amazing. My stylist- incredible, but everyone else stopped by to check in, get me water and make me feel comfortable. I just moved to the area and will be exclusively going here from now on, I advise everyone else to also. I simply cant fit enough into this review. Thank you again to the team at Hair Ave. I havent felt this good since before the pandemic.

My balayage came out perfect. They followed the color that I wanted and matched it perfectly. It was a long process on my thick,long,dark hair. I have color treated hair so they explained it may not be exactly what I'm expecting. But I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was very patient and took their time. I would never guess to get such quality hair color from a mall salon. I've done my hair at some high end salons and this place definitely competes with them. Pricing was a little higher than what I usually pay but worth it. I'll definitely be going back.
