Short version:. Don't believe the Maplecrest location regarding wait times.
Long Version: I try to give businesses a break over COVID, but what is happening there today is ridiculous. I checked in on line with a 38minute wait. A half hour later my app then told me a had a 45minute wait. Yet another 40minutes went by and I looked again and it said I STILL had a 40minute wait. I then personally went to the store to find out what was going on. I was told that things got backed up because of breaks. This may or not be true, but I would have signed up at another location if they were just honest about it.
I wrote this review at another in town great clips location. The other location told me a 25 minute walkin wait, and I took it. Got my haircut and apparently I still have a 12 minute wait at the Maplecrest location. At this point I don't believe that 12 minute wait is real.
Wish I could give zero stars. Absolutely rude staff from the moment we stepped in.
Went in with my husband for him to get his thick curly hair cut, and the woman at the front desk argued with him about check in. He registered online, and she explained to him how he did it wrong. Then turned to me and asked what I needed. I said I was with him, with a smile, and she snapped at me.
'That's NOT what I said. How are you?'
I smiled, nicely, and told her I was fine. Thank you. She then proceeded to force the little girl waiting with her mom next to us to stand up and twirl in front of her so she could guess her age. Creep.
Finally they call my husband back, and the woman cutting his hair spends time telling him how bad and unhealthy and gross it is before doing a slop cut. We're going to have to go somewhere else now to fit it. She left stands in the back of his head long and unshaven, and the top of his head is unevenly cut.
Then on the way out she was short and snippy with us. Explaining how to tip and pay.
Terrible and horrible experience. No wonder their wait time was so short. Avoid like the plague!
I came into Great Clips hoping to receive a high quality hair cut at a low price, but honestly, it was just really mediogre. I told the stylist that I wanted layers in my hair, resembling an onion. But, as you can see in this photo, the work that was done on my hair was choppy and unprofessional. I will not be returning to Great Clips anytime soon.
