GLOSS Style Studio in Wilmington, NC

All of their stylists are color masters and continue ongoing education, but I can't say enough about Emily Sherrill!  You can tell that her profession is her passion!  She not only listens carefully, she then assesses what might be best.  I came in with damaged hair from a straightening procedure at another salon, and she knew exactly what to do to get my hair back on the road to full health again.   Also, the salon is a very beautiful space with clean lines and decor.  I also really appreciate the ease of their services and appointment website.

I have been to both locations, Pure and Gloss, both off of Masonboro Loop Road. I have seen multiple stylists, and every experience has been great. They hire experienced, talented and friendly people, and their shops are clean and lovely. I also love that they carry Kevin Murphy products, which I've been using for years.

I moved to this area from Chicago at the onset of the global pandemic and didn't know who to ask to recommend a place to get a great cut and color.  My sister got her hair cut at Gloss but her stylist wasn't taking new clients.  He recommended I call Sofia Collins and although I had to wait a few weeks for an appointment, she fit me in.  It's Almost three years later and Gloss has become my number one recommended place.  I could not be happier.  I like to change up my hairstyle and color often.  I get bored quickly and Sofia is always game to help me keep up with a fresh cut and some fun color.  I never feel rushed and I've never been even slight unhappy!!! She listens to me and when I give her the go ahead, she will take risks with me and give me something new and fun.  I know her cuts are excellent because they never really "grow out" or look tired.  I typically need color touch ups before my cut needs freshening.  I wear my hair short but it never looks the same.  One of the highlights of living in Wilmington, for me ( second only to the beach) is hanging with Sofia.  We laugh and entertain each other and,I think truly, are friends.  I'll bet all of her customers feel the exact same way!

One of the best salons I've ever been too! Clean, professional and beautiful. Emily Sherrill was my stylist and she did EXACTLY what I asked for. I highly recommend anyone in the Wilmington area to check her out! Amazing! I'm obsessed with my hair!

Look else where....Made a appointment before leaving town. Was able to make the appointment for the next day before leaving on a business trip. Stylist canceled morning of appointment.
