Myla de Franco Salon in Wilmington, NC

I went to this salon for a months before my wedding. The hurricane messed up some appointments, but Karla was so great in helping me fix my hair. The last time I went was October 2018. When I called to make another appointment, the girl on the phone said Karla was really busy, she didn't know when she was available, and she would call me back. Months later, I  have never received a call back from the salon. It's unfortunate, as I loved my stylist. The lack of customer service is why I never went back. I have never had a salon not follow up or call to see if I needed another appointment.

As a DC transplant it was tough finding talented stylists with quality products. My search ended here!  I've got tons of hair that is not easy to tame and Myla mastered it in the first visit. I've referred several friends who are all singing her praises!!

After bouncing around from Salon to Salon for the past 7 months in Wilmington, I finally found a Salon that has me back to the way I want to look.  A blow-out that looks professionally done is hard to find here, but Myla did a beautiful blow out!  She really listened to the issues I am having here and I have full confidence in her talent and abilities.  Also so happy I found a Salon that use Goldwell Products.  They know what the best quality is and use it!

I live in Los Angeles, and have family in Wilmington. During my visit I booked an appointment with Taylor K. My hair was damaged blonde with a TON of dark natural root. She balayaged my hair beautifully and trimmed the bottom and even did the same with my clip in extensions for a better price than I pay for in LA and even salons I have been to in Wilmington. Taylor is extremely personable and comfortable to be around and won't let you leave the chair until you are both happy. I haven't been this happy with my hair in a long time and she did a phenomenal job. I really don't think I've ever had such an awesome salon experience like I did here. I'll be one of Taylor's regulars and I recommend you snatch her up before she's maxed out with clients!  Also she is super gentle on my tender head lol! The owner is super sweet and as an adorable puppy too!

Dish water- that's the term used to describe my hair color. I was in from out of town and noticed they advertised for "blondes". I took a huge risk and asked for blonde highlights (root touch up) and low lights and a signature dark streak (root touch up). Well, I should have known that the blonde they advertised was yellow/orangish blonde based on some of the blondes I seen working there. My hairdresser, Nancy, was nice but when I get my hair done I do not want to be told "you're going to love it" and afterwards from all of the staff "beautiful" "love it" because I am not able to express how "I" like it. How would she or they know if I will "love it" or not? I felt that I was unable to express my dislike for not walking out with blonde hair but rather "dish water" blonde as my mom described as I walked in the door. Yes-I am picky about my hair, as I explained to her but for $200 I should beI provided photos of models and also of my hairstyle I wanted to reclaim. As a side note: How hard is it to do blonde and lowlights. Wash the lowlights out first and then take the foils out... think about how variable the blonde is and it will soak up the dark color so fast resulting in- dishwater blah. Now heading back to Chicago to get it fixed... it's not "Pinterest material" as the stylist stated. Again, let me be the judge of that.
